We towed one of our 4090 wood chippers to an employee's parents home to help them out with some chipping this week. While we were there we tried to really push the limits of this machine with some extraordinary large pieces along with some dirty bark at the end.

That is incredible! I could not believe when you threw that branch with the “y” in it and it just ate it up. Your design is awesome compared to so many others. Interesting stuff!

Ok, I was impressed!😂 Did not think it would handle those branches. I think i discount the machine because of how uniquely it is designed.

I have that chipper and love it! Tech guys are great and a call or email away. The maneuvraibility is great for the limb size.

Nice machine but the motor you selected (I’m guessing a 380cc Honda lawn mower engine) seems horrendously underpowered for it. If I had to stand there and wait for a machine to spin back up after bogging down like that after every bigger branch I would never get anything done. I’ve watched a few videos on this machine and power defiantly seems to be lacking. Heck even a Briggs vtwin would have been preferred.

The bogging is primarily to us throwing in oversized branches/limbs and Y shaped ones to see if the machine could handle it. Yes, its not the most powerful chipper but, it is designed with the residential user in mind not commercial. It has rental grade parts in it to extend the life and prevent early maintenance paired with the honda motor to be as reliable as it possibly can be. If time is of the essence for the job we recommend getting a commercial grade chipper to help out with that.
