I go over how to set up two separate stereo paths in my Zoom MS-70CDR, covering what you can and can't do.
For the third party effects needed, Zoom Effects Manager 2: zoomeffectmanager.com/en/
For more information on using the DIV0 and RTFM for stereo setups, read what ELynx (the third party guy whose name I forgot in the video) posted in their how-to section: github.com/ELynx/zoom-fx-modd... (includes a list of true stereo effects that they found)

Wow this remind me of Van Halen I album. Right side the guitar but in both side the Reverb Genius ❤

I had no idea that this editor existed, nor that there are cool new utilities. Thanks for showing it off. I had to watch this a few times and follow along, to fully get it. Great video.

Glad it was helpful! The third party tools really open up the original Multistomps a lot. There's still more exploring to be done with the Div0 and RTFM effects as well. Some folks on Reddit have talked about using a second Div0 at the end of the chain to unlock actual full stereo sounds regardless of mono summing/true stereo/etc. I'm hoping to dig into that soon to see if I can get it to work!

@@scottjmeldrum Hey, do you know what MIDI channel the CDR responds to? I've got this CME WIDI Jack/Uhost set up with the Chocolate (I know...doubled up on Bluetooth) and I can't get get anything sorted.

@@TheLordcasio I haven't actually used it with the CDR, so I'm not sure. I bought it solely to control the looper in my DAW

Dude I got a new amp and have been hype to use mine in stereo, since it's my only stereo pedal. Then I remember the horrible hiss and don't even wanna bother trying to get a good stereo setup. I had abandoned trying to find a fix for the noise until I found your reddit, and the solution added to the firmware editor which I had never bothered trying to use because of the noise. I was up all night this particular night, thanks to both your posts this pedal was completely opened up and I have full confidence using it again and playing with the added effects, even if it's not fully stereo this is such great value. Great vid man

The third party effects really add a ton of value to this pedal. I was fighting the high pitched noise that can happen from impedance and power issues and was distraught that I might have to stop using this before I found that modified Para EQ. I've since solved the whine with certain pedal orders and power supplies (lots of trial and error, more luck than science I think), but it was a lifesaver. Glad I could point you in the right direction as well! I'm hopeful the community adds similar tools to the plus series eventually, but from what I've heard there's no noise or whine on the new ones.

@@scottjmeldrum The noise mod is useful but does change the tone. are the latest posts of your board solved with a new supply/order? I suspect my donner PS is the cause. and nice to know about the new ones, seem cool but not as worth it if you have the older ones

@@theresnoway440 Yeah, my In My Office videos all have it so the high pitched whine isn't there, or at least isn't noticeable to me. Some of my CDR-specific videos I have the Para EQ NM engaged to get rid of it, but not in this vid. The way I've been able to avoid it is to power the CDR with a full 500mA fully isolated. I either use a standalone 500mA wall wart I got from Monoprice, or a port on my Vitoos Iso 4 Plus. Also, I always put it in a spot in the chain where it's after a buffered pedal or where I know it will get a good signal. If it's after a pedal or pedals that are always on (like in this video), you should be good. If it's after a buffered pedal you should be good, depending on the pedal (I like to have it come after my NuX Atlantic, YMMV). I've also had success with it in the stereo inserts of my mixing board, as it is in the I.M.O. videos. For the Vitoos power supply, I think the Iso 4 Plus model is discontinued, and I haven't really verified that the outputs are isolated, as many that claim to be isolated don't actually isolate their outputs. But it has worked really well for me in terms of powering pedals without noise, and other folks online have had success with that brand as well from what I've seen. They're much more affordable than many of the bigger names, as well, if budget is a concern.

@@scottjmeldrum I have another wall PS but it’s 2A total output and has less hum but the 5.5kHz is still there. i’ll wait until i can try another power supply, it’s not that bad. zoom is after a behringer eq so which i assume is a fine buffer, but i’ve tried both that on my board and in effects loop but it’s chill

@@theresnoway440 Yeah, that sounds like it should be good, but there's definitely an aspect of luck to it. If it's a 1 spot that gives 2A, I have one of those and can try it out to see if I get the whine from it, but parts tolerances between the Power supplies and the Multistomps might make that a moot test.

Hi. In a set-up similar to yours, how can I use effects like a pitch shifter for both channels?
@scottjmeldrum
@scottjmeldrum Месяц назад
Unfortunately the pitch shifting effects within the multistomp all sum to mono, so while you could put one in the left channel and have it work there, you wouldn't be able to get a pitch shifter in the right channel.
