Splitgate in 2024 is NOT What I Expected..

I hope this game comes back sure it doesn’t get any more updates but if people keep playing it I will be so happy I remember waking up in 2021 and playing PvZ gw2 and splitegate during the school zoom calls we had and I would be grinding listening to 2021 freestyle and Yao and teo. I have so much nostalgia for those days

I’ve been playing this game for like a year and it’s so fun to hop on every once and awhile idk people said it fell off it’s got a decently big player base

Some things about the game that'll help you get better-- - You can change the colour of the enemies from the UI settings. They have a whole RGB slider with Hexcode support, so you can select whatever colour suits your eyes. - You can change the crosshairs for EVERY gun. Personally, I picked small reticles for the SMG and the AR because they tend to spread around, so a small reticle helps me keep it aimed to the enemies. - Use your portals as an exit strategy to retreat or flank the same guy from a different position. That said, close your portals or enemies will follow you with your repositioning. - An open portal can block others from opening portals, so use that strategically to block enemies from use the pads, while being mindful of not blocking your teammates. - When using the shotgun, aim for the chest. The shotgun shoots pellets in a hexagonal pattern, so aiming for the head will cause a lot of them to miss. Aiming for the chest makes all of your pellets hit. - If you see the BFB (looks like a baseball bat), take the BFB. It's a one-hit kill. Now, some things about the game itself-- - The game has no SBMM and no region selection, so the low population causes players to join servers far away with bots and the teams sometimes get disproportionately balanced with more bots in one team. - The last battlepass was free and infinite, giving you a random drop for every 5 tiers after you complete it. - Technically, if you play every day for long enough, you can get all the premium battlepass for free. That said, I highly suggest supporting this game by buying stuff because it really respects your enjoyment and deserves the support. - Splitgate didn't "die", it was "put to rest" because they got a $100 mil investment and wanted to fix all issues with the game by starting from scratch. Splitgate 2 was teased recently in their channel and it looks great! Finally, I hope they're able to fix the floaty movement and make it more snappy and solid like Halo Infinite, add server region selection and some better team balancing with the bots. That said, since they got an investor, I hope they're able to keep the "free" battlepass thing that rewarded every players eventually, if they played long enough.

This game is my favorite FPS around. I'm excited for the sequel.
