"I'm just a regular guy." "This... Castiel." "If angels were real someone would have seen one" "There's a God?" "Why would God give a crap about me?" Geez there was a time in this show where God wasn't real, angels were unheard of, and Cas was "That angel Castiel."
Yeah I miss when it was like this, a show about the supernatural, when shit was treated seriously and before the show turned into the CW adventures of Sam and Dean. It felt real and grounded, it was low fantasy and narrative driven and heck Sam and Dean were written like actually people and not like the over top characters they are now.
i never understood how one can fight werewolves, ghouls, vampires, ghosts, and DEMONS on a daily basis and not believe in angels and God. like seriously tho from a logical stand point. you just got out of hell, you experienced and witnessed it's horrors, why is heaven so hard for him to believe in. im surprised john didn't teach them this, cause john seems to lean a bit on the religious side.
@@toreadum8ass I think he did fall into that camp. But would refute that idea by saying it is because God is exists that we can say that evil acts are evil and good acts are good. God gave us the standard.
@@kitty7644 1. Whose God? There’s been over 3000 religions 2. Assuming you’re referring to the Christian God, he gives the standards, why is it that non-Christians can still know what’s good and what’s evil?
@@sciencesociety2919 1. I am referring to the Christian God. 2. To answer your question: The Bible firmly establishes that God has installed a moral compass into all human beings regardless if they have faith or lack thereof. "I [God] will put My laws [morality] in their hearts [conscience]." (Hebrews 10:6)
Yeah it didn’t make much sense to me at first given that they use holy water and rosaries, which is quite explicitly religious, and they use a Catholic exorcism that explicitly invoke God’s name. However, my theory is that in the Supernatural universe, holy water, rosaries and exorcisms are not religious but rather magical in nature…
Who would have thought that after this angel would become his best friend he never had. Dean and Castiel share a lot of things in common that he doesn't have with Sam.
The acting felt so much more organic in the earlier seasons. The latest seasons feel so cringy, and I can't pinpoint why. Maybe because in the earlier seasons they were more dynamic, and now they feel like the brooding, stoic male leads.
Tbh it might have soemthing to do with the fact that they are lacking the big picture from the writing team. Not saying they are bad writer, but i mean Eric Kripke had a whole vision for his first 5 seasons. And after that it felt like "lets make up something every season"
@@Bardim18 Couldn't agree more. Kripke had a bigger picture for everything, and things falls into place sooner or later, it's all tied together. Tho i'd say the stories were not as good, Supernatural is a breeding ground for creative endeavors. Some of my favourite episodes are from later seasons, like "The French Mistake", "Dog Dead Tuesday", "Weekend at Bobby's". Maybe they lack the creative lead, but the execution of an out of the box idea is still awesome, just amazing
even if there are angels you shouldn't let one show effect your believes!yeas the Angels turned out to be the true monsters of Supernatural but come on!they are not selfish emotionless school students in real life lore
I was about to say, you understand that tv shows like this always put their own spin on written supernatural lore, right? This isn’t a documentary or a primary resource of information. This is fiction.
You miss the point. Sam is saying that they have discovered evidence of God's existence. In a way, you may be right in a different way than you intended: rather than take the angels and their father as proof of benevolence, they should have reserved their faith for people he could trust, since most of the angels and God have proved untrustworthy.
Carsen Maxwell i mean living a life like his, how can you be an optimist ? saving people everyday and not get a thank you from them or the world itself? he’s human like the rest of them and he’s just tired. you never know when this is gonna stop, you never know when you can finally stop saving people and relax. try to be understanding
@@dolansmulti1735 i think if I was Dean, I could do his job better than him with an Optimistic attitude because I have unwavering Faith in God and I know that he will always watch over me and that even if people die, death is not eternal because of Heaven and I could be an Optimistic version of him because I have faith in God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, and their Angels. Also my faith allows me to easily write off a lot of their Supernatural lore as wrong because Demons can only possess someone if they are sinful, Demons are just Fallen Angels, there is no difference between them and Demons, holy water, wood, oil, and fire is useless against evil spirits, Angels can just make their own bodies according to the bible Dictionary, Salt wouldn't do much, and Heaven is not just memories and most Demonology lore is wrong and stupid
Also Reapers are just Angels of Death, the 4 Horsem may not actually be siblings and if they are real, then they are most likely Angels of a sort, Nephilim were sired by Watcher Angels in Genesis chapter 6, and in reality there isn't any solid info that calls Gabriel and Raphael Archangels and Raphael is mainly spoken of in the Bible apocrypha
Carsen Maxwell okay i didn’t read all of that but i did read the first sentence, i think that dean is just tired and hurt and that’s all i have to say, you may of had better optimism than him but you don’t know that for sure. plus im done with this because talking about it more makes me realize it’s useless bc it’s a show.
Most families have a loud, obnoxious, attention-seeking drama queen that likes to control everyone and everything. In that TV family, it's Dean Winchester.
you're an idiot religious fool!glad the angels turned out to be the true monsters of Supernatural!Dean is the best character and he was right about the angels and evil things and everything
Dean saw the painting of a damned soul in the midst of an inferno being grasped by an angelic savior, and his immediate reaction was to put his hand on his own shoulder, where Castiel left a handprint. Almost like it woke up the repressed memory of him being rescued.😇🥲
