A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. During his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. Fun fact: SpongeBob has technically been employee of the month for over 374 months in a row. That means SpongeBob has been at the Krusty Krab for over 31 years! But since sea sponges can live to be 500 years old, SpongeBob probably won't be retiring any time soon.

One of the reasons why "Employee of the Month" is one of my favourite Spongebob episodes, is because I really enjoy seeing Spongebob and Squidward being enemies rather than him trying to force a "friendship" between them. They're more funny as a duo when they're competing against one another.

I remember when I first saw "Valentine's Day," it inspired me to work on creative gifts for the titular holiday itself. Also, just to point out, anchovies on SpongeBob don't just say "meep", for they do sometimes speak like everyone else. And yes, in "Employee of the Month", SpongeBob and Squidward definitely go too far to win the award. But what Squidward said at the beginning was true, the award is just something that encourages you to work harder for no extra money.

All these episodes are so iconic. My favorite is definitely "Employee of the Month." I love how competitive SpongeBob and Squidward get, and how unhinged both of them get in the process. The escalation followed by that explosive ending is so hilarious.

The funniest part about this episode is how Mr. Krabs is so overwhelmed by so much insanity from the two, that his mind doesn't have time to process everything that's going on around him for him to be mad or angry 😂😂😂

My stand on the valentines episode is that because SpongeBob built it up so much that of course Patrick was upset that it was just a handshake after their years of friendship. I do genuinely think that if SpongeBob didn’t get him anything and just took him to the carnival anyway he would’ve been fine.

To be fair, spongebob had plenty of options that wouldve prevented Patrick rampage. Patrick was completely happy thinking a quarter was his present, and the latter was even starting to learn that it's the thought that counts before everyone came up with the presents spongebob gave them. Aside from the guy who just wanted the time that is. Heck, if Spongebob just said taking him to the Carnival was the gift Patrick probably would've been happy.

That paper episode showed that when someone doesn't want something and sees someone else using it, then they want it because they think it'll be great for them too (like advertising how great it is for free from that person).

Squidward succeeded in serenading SpongeBob to sleep. SpongeBob was nodding off listening to the soft tone of the lullaby. He tried fighting it. But as he loses control he utters "Nighty-night." Then he drifts off to sleep. Shortly snoring.

It does get better. The first five seasons of SpongeBob were some of the best comedy for me to watch as a kid. Just remember to quit watching before watching Season 6.

Employee of The Month has to be my favorite from this recent reaction 🤣👏🏻💛, also congrats Clariss at 24:50 on being a first time employee of the month🎉🎊 and I don't know if this counts but back before covid I did some volunteer work at a local hospital I worked in the cafe then when it got replaced by Tim Horton's I worked at the front desk to give directions to patients then after that I quit to work for seasonal job at a local giant football stadium until they let me go due to covid then later on I received from the hospital a certificate for volunteer appreciation 😊

Hot take: Not a fan of Valentine's Day I think it's one of the more overrated SpongeBob episodes and one of the weakest episodes of the season. Don't get me wrong it's not outright bad or anything. I think Sandy was the saving grace to the episode as she made things entertaining but Patrick REALLY annoyed me! And don't get me started on the ending where Patrick literally claimed nothing bad happened 🤦‍♂️ I can see why people like it but it just wasn't for me. Hope I won't get any attack replies. Also, this is basically Patrick in the modern episodes you're seeing.
