Funny you mention SpongeBob going deaf from his alarm clock later in life, when a later episode reveals that he actually needs the loudness of it cause he's a very heavy sleeper.

I remember on reruns, Something Smells had an audio glitch. When Spongebob says hi to the building, it played a repeat of the next few lines instead, so you'd get "I just don't get it!" and "I don't either" twice in a row.

@@ProjectSenpaiby 'they' I think Dandy means Paramount+. Apparently these two are meant to be the second episode and 'Your Shoes Untied/Squids Day Off' is the first
