They messed up the sound system so it doesn't play vibrato correctly. There is a remastered gba version, but it is still a downgrade from the original version by alot.

@@It-sJay Yeah, it's not anywhere close to the quality of the PS1 version, but it really felt good to finally hear the GBA soundtrack the way it was meant to sound, since that's the version I grew up playing and always just thought the awful vibrato was a (strange) stylistic choice. i think the gba system itself was responsible for messing up the vibrato, because a couple songs near the end of mother 3 also sound more vibrato-y on the gba than in direct rips

It was also a very early GBA game post launch and post 9/11 (The game released in November 2001) They still had ways of using the GBA Nicktoons Unite on GBA fixed this issue with no reverb, and it sounds good

@@Duskool Those small platforms with the fire… when I was practicing the GBA version before doing it on camera or whatever, I fell a lot, because the fire always hit me and it would knock me off, or I miss a platform on accident. But I eventually got it :)

The gba version is like. A beta version of the ps1 version. This first came out on ps1. Then the gba. The songs are short and loop on the gba version was because it was kind of like the beta version on ps1 version. Just looks more bad and the songs sound pretty pixelated
