@@TheOrcaOffical SpongeXML, from my understanding, deems his victims either worthy or unworthy. It's most likely an important part of his lore as it's mentioned a lot during the series, descriptions, from SpongeXML himself, and other sorts of media sometimes. Patrick most likely died because of what SpongeXML thought of him, with SpongeXML even calling him unworthy. Gary is the only one to be worthy so far, however, since he practically did nothing to either Spongebob or SpongeXML, unlike SpongeXML's other victims.
To sum up what I just said, basically SpongeXML is the judge of a courtroom in a sense and instead of guilty and not guilty it's worthy and unworthy, and those who are unworthy basically die
@AsterGTheFourth I don't know if my eyes are deceiving me or what but at 2:12 sponge looks sad, and it took him to deem Patrick unworthy the longest between everyone else maybe because he was his best friend, and in Hedge it looks like 2 friends just hanging out while in manual blast it goes down hill
You know, I have been thinking about this worthy and unworthy thing with XML. What if the way he decides if they are worthy or not is if they are not scared when he transforms? Spongebob ran, Patrick got scared, Krabs was angry from the get-go, Squidward ran. Garry on the other hand did not think past "Oh, it is Spongebob!" This makes me think that if someone just treats XML the way they would treat a normal person, no matter what, then they are worthy.
Man, I really love when people show the true amount of emotion a character is feeling in their art, and in this you can hear Patrick's sorrow, and you can see his fear, he's absolutely terrified by what his "friend" has become, and is so deeply saddened at what's happening, by the end he fully realizes he's about to be killed by the one person he holds closer than anyone or anything, and he's scared beyond words, he can barely even look at "SpongeBob" from the form he has, the monster he's become, and what he's about to do, the starfish is fully aware he's about to die, but still tries to plead with his soon to be killer, before he's torn apart, nothing turns me off more than a half assed piece giving such little emotion to something or making it feel like those doing the work just aren't interested, but this is a showing of all the passion you have for this, its stunning, its amazing, keep up the good work.
Same just imagine your closest friend the person you trust most is used as a disguise just to trick you and absolutely destroy you at the end you can see the fear and confusion in Patrick's face, all he wanted to do is go jellyfishing with his best friend.
More during the end, I somewhat like how Patrick still believes that that may be still Spongebob, so he tries to put on a smile with the usual "You can stop now, pal. . .", or the "Spongebob, you might still be in there. Please, friend, come back. You're scaring me. . .". Of course, coming to quickly learn that it is NOT Spongebob.

i have a theory maybe spongeXML is the original spongebob from seasons 1 - 3 and 4 coming back to kill all the replacements of his friends, but coming back as a prototype spongebob design, and if the character is accurate enough to their OG counterpart, he lets them live and calls them worthy

Yes! Sponge.XML was the thing that led me to your channel, letting me also find other great covers and fan songs that were made by you! Im not sure how long he's been gone for, but oh boy it was worth the wait.
From what I can tell so far, spongeXML only kills people it finds unworthy, which seems to line up with the 7 sins, patrick (gluttony), squidward (pride), and mr. Krabs (greed), Gary was spared because it was none of this, so maybe a later character such as sandy will also be spared.
Literally before knowing Manual Blast was in this, I was joking to myself how Patrick sounds similar to Scorched and loved it. Update: on a side note, Seeing XML say Patrick isn't worthy and... THAT happening- I... wonder if this'll be a soft reboot of the story? XML's story. I love this guy, and I love seeing you flesh out his story over time!

He deems those who represent a circle of sin, like Patrick and his gluttony, or Mr.Krabs and his greed, unworthy. I dare say he is a fallen angel taking the form of a childhood icon.
I like that it remastered the first victim of sponge.XLM with hedge and Manual Blast while the non-canonical version is Faker and Black Sun. I was looking forward to seeing the canonical. We didn't leave the phase that Patrick was shocked by the transformation. Whether it's non-canonical or non-canonical I find that they go well with the situation and that we see the evolution

Patrick would feel pain ,but would ultimately not die and would regenerate his body and make multiple clones of himself. This is because in ,"Karate Star" he removes his hand and it grows back ,and Patrick's old hand grows a new body. So he will multiply and keep doing it even if Sponge.XML does rip him apart. Also Patrick's a starfish and regrow lost limbs.
Ok, I've gotta ask: what is the criteria for "worthiness"? Cause so far in this series, the ONLY one deemed worthy was Gary. Everyone else died (well, technically we never saw Squidward or SpongeBob actively dead, but I think it's safe to say at LEAST Squidward died. Maybe SpongeBob managed to outrun sponge.xml tho, he IS the biggest offender of toon logic, so he actually has a sizeable advantage.) One person theorized maybe those who trusted sponge.xml despite the circumstances are worthy, but that doesn't check out here, because Patrick fully trusted xml at the start. Yet, he was still unworthy. MAYBE it's based on general character? But that only makes sense if OG SpongeBob was spared after the chase, and we don't know for sure what happened to him. So, I'm REALLY confused about what qualifies as "worthy".
It's a good question, Someone else proposed that it's because people find him to be scary, I think that might be the most logical answer, Since outside of Krabs who actively hurt Sponge.Xml, Everyone who died to him ALL were afraid of him. As another person said, the bit about "worthiness" may be based upon the seven sins. Gluttony (Patrick), Greed (Mr. Krabs), Envy (Squidward), Pride (Spongebob), Wrath (Plankton), so on and so forth. Those who are sinful are deemed quote unquote "unworthy", if that is the case.
This is so good! Not only is the idea really clever but the vocals are spot-on, Spongebob doesn’t sound like every other chromatic and Patrick doesn’t sound like Sans!

To everyone pointing out the worthiness thing, SpongeXML goes "I'm Ready!" Why is this important? Because he's *decided*. Its not a reference but an exclamation that he's come to make his choice on what to do with Patrick. Yet still says it with the same dorky vigor as spongebob.

Because starfish can regenerate, there was one part in a episode on that where Patrick had his arm torn off, he then regenerated his arm while his severed arm regenerated an entire body I'm pretty sure
