I had SIH in 2014 which required multiple blood patches and ultimately, a cervical fusion to remove an osteophyte that was recurrently tearing a hole in my spinal cord sheath and causing me to leak repeatedly over the course of 6 to 8 months. I had the 6th cranial nerve palsy with double vision for 6 months. It's really nice to see more information up and available for people going through this. in 2013-14 there were not many videos to explain this condition.
@@HanieletNickle Hi. The first symptoms were "whooshing" sounds in my ears and I was hardly able to hold my own head up. I had no energy and could barely keep my head upright after a few mins of being upt and about. Finally, they did a spinal tap at the ER (after multiple ER visits) and found my spinal cord fluid pressure to be 1. I was tapped out of fluid and my brain dropped due to the lack of fluid to float my brain. I was in a bad way, by the time they figured it out. They didn't think of a car leak, because I had no trauma. It was found many months later, that I had a bone spur that was the problem. I'm great now! But it was the worst time of my life, health wise.
