Amen, Sir. Amen. I work at a "freedom tool" shop. I had a fudd actually come in there, and while buying a gun for hunting was talking about why he doesn't "need" and ar 15. I told him how many guns I had and he asked what I hunt. I said "Nothing. All of my guns are designed for killing the enemy". His jaw dropped. The look on his face was priceless.

We need more "come and take it" and less " I lost my guns in a boating accident"

The term “sporting purpose” is embedded throughout U.S. gun control laws, and its use is a violation of the Second Amendment.

If no 18 yr old should be able to own a weapon of war; they should also not be sent to war....if they change ownership age they have to change enlistment age. Long live the 2A

How scary is it for a tyrant to declare that our rights aren’t absolute? So if the 1st, 2nd, and 4th are not absolute does that also mean the 13th, 14th and 19th amendments are not absolute?

Thank you! It has always made me cringe when people call these weapons "sporting" rifles. It is a tool for defense! I enjoy shooting, and I enjoy hunting, but I don't play sports with my rifles and hunting has nothing to do with my ownership of guns.

I remember our soldiers guarding ballot boxes in foreign countries to assure fair elections. They weren’t bearing spotters with 5 round mags.

The words, "Shall Not", should be emphasized. That means that the government CANNOT restrict our ability to have, purchase, and even make weapons (guns) of all kinds. The 2nd amendment is to protect the people from an overbearing and out of control government!!

I made this same point to someone earlier. All firearms were designed to kill. The 2nd amendment does not give us our rights nor is it for hunting!! It’s not to protect yourself from your neighbors because that was “common sense”, it is to stop a tyrannical government, period.

My dad was a fudd. No handguns or rifles suited to battle. He participated in enough k!lling in Korea, and felt all days of conflict were done, and it could NEVER come here. If he was still here he'd have an AR and an AK in the arsenal like myself though. It's obvious a storm is coming.

If we followed it correctly as written, we would be armed with the same small arms as the military and police as it's necessary for a free state. AR and AK pattern rifles with the 3rd pin would be completely constitutional.

I've said it before that if people start talking about burying their gun's it's time to use them.

This is a conversation I have with people every day. Everyone seems shocked. It disarms them as they are completely unprepared for this truth.

Some say the the National Guard is the "well regulated militia". The National Guard is a state run military. A militia is comprised of armed citizens. Daniel Boone was a militia leader during the Revolutionary War. He was not a member of the Army or National Guard.

Regulated can also mean equipped or provisioned. Very fitting in the second amendment.

The redcoats at the end of the American revolutionary war thought that the Americans were unsporting like and vile for not standing in a single file line and exchanging rounds against each other and not following their rules of war like not killing enemy commanders. Evidently the modern day redcoats have a lot in common with their ancestors, they looked at war and our freedom as a game, they were shocked when farmers and laymen took up arms against the most powerful military of the day and beat them. There were many colonists that either supported the British or remained neutral. Make no mistake the traitors that want to tear up our constitution by striping it of it's essential liberties are indeed no different that the redcoats of our history and those that have studied history are seeing commonalities to what is happening today.

“But…but…but the 2A was written in a time when AR15’s weren’t around, you can’t apply it to todays weapons” Yeah, well guess what? Back then the State did not own tanks, missiles, rocket launchers and nukes either. So the AR15 should be the absolute minimum weapon the people should own.

One of my biggest pet peeves in this arena are the terminally ignorant that claim that the second amendment ONLY applies to flintlock rifles as that is what was available in the late 1700's. Well that's all that was available to the continental army as well. So why do we allow today's soldiers and cops to carry something other than flintlocks? Ask yourself this, how many soldiers were killed last year? How many cops were killed last year? How many citizens were killed last year? Who seems to need the most up to date defensive guns? (Btw, I'm a retired cop whose only rifles are flintlock rifles. My defensive tools are handguns.)

You only lose if you obey illegal/unconstitutional laws.

Right on Rex!!! Thank you for reminding the people what the 2A is. I am not an American, but I respect the 2A. Because, my ancestors in the Caribbean had to fight the red coats for 80 yrs. to keep our freedom....it was 80yrs of straight gorilla warfare and we beat them badly and that was ratified in 1776 after we won the battle in 1739!!! NEVER give up your 2A people and never stop fighting for your freedoms!!!

Sadly, there is a huge swath of "Conservative-leaning" folks that just do NOT get it. Many in my very own family are dyed-in-the-wool, lifelong Republicans and Conservatives and have voiced the very sentiments of a Fudd. I recently had a respectful spat with my 90-year old Dad, a former Korean War-era Air Force Staff Sgt., about ME having too many UNNECESSARY ARs!!! He also mentioned, "Why does anyone NEED to have a 30-rd magazine anyway?" I have siblings who are "gun owners" but have been swayed and indoctrinated by CNN believing that ARs are OVERKILL, nobody NEEDS a "MILITARY-grade" weapon for "home defense"!!! All this to say, we have our work cut out for us. The commies have leveled up on convincing even right-leaning, Conservative-thinking folks that "nobody NEEDS an AR!" Most have never read or forgotten the text of the Constitution and the Second Amendment. It is incumbent upon those of us who KNOW BETTER, to inform, educate, and remind them of the sacred words upon which our Country was established.

I'm 45 years old and I was never taught about the second amendment and I went to a small country school in Texas of all places. My parents never talked about it nor my grandparents and both of my grandfathers we're military veterans that saw combat. It wasn't until my kids were in their teens and I started watching RU-vid that I really started hearing and seeing the constitution and bill of rights. Now I understand how people become fudds. I guess I was one once myself. I didn't think anyone needed those war rifles, lever actions, bolt guns and pump shotguns was all I ever saw in our homes and never a handgun.

I consider a AR to be a “Modern Sporting Rifle” rather than an “assault rifle” . I also worry things are about to get Sporty if the 2A gets infringed

I said this in 1989 when California pushed through the Roberti Roos AW ban. The hunters didn't car as long as their bolt guns and shotguns were left out of it. My Hunter safety instructor was totally against the ownership of "military style rifles" as he put it. I asked him where in the constitution does it mention sportsmen or hunting? I then told him he has no legal footing for a sporting rifle argument.

You are correct and I always wondered why the NRA just focused on hunting rights and never talked about what you just did. Why cant people see what they're doing? They did this same thing in Australia and look how they were bullied and mistreated during the plandemic; they were beating people for walking outside.

READ THAT AGAIN … “undesirables”? - 1935. China established gun control: 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, rounded up and exterminated. - 1964. Guatemala required expensive, hard-to-obtain permits for carrying firearms: 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, rounded up and exterminated. - 1970. Uganda established gun control: 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, murdered on the spot. - 1956. Cambodia, ruler Khmer Rouge removed all firearms from private ownership, and stockpiled the regime:1975 to 1977; 1.5 - 3 million Cambodians, including a half-million members of ethnic minority groups, were slaughtered. Despotic governments still exist. There is still democide going on to this day. If you want to be a victim, just repeat the same mistakes these countries made. If you don't want to be a victim, understand the value of the Bill of Rights and the reasons for each amendment.

Never really thought about it, but the ATF “sporting” requirements really are unconstitutional. The morons-at-be now want to argue that the founding fathers couldn’t envision “assault weapons” when they wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights; but I argue there a British Land Pattern single shot smooth bore musket, commonly known as the ‘Brown Bess” and like long guns found in early America were the “assault weapons” of their day, especially with a triangle bayonet. The musket was designed as a military arm to be rugged and loaded faster than an average rifle of the time. From its commercial introduction, the AR15 was not quite in the same boat. Not that there’s anything wrong with an AR - in the hands of responsible and determined citizens, they really do serve as a deterrent to evil. Furthermore, the founding fathers and men and women from the 18th Century weren’t as backward as we want to think they are. If someone had invented a reliable repeating arm back then, they would have adopted to gain the advantage.

If I could figure out how to comfortably carry my ELR rifle and rounds, my AR, and my 9mm, all at the same time, I would. But alas, I'm doomed to being content carrying my handgun on a daily basis.

I grew up with my uncle saying: As a Marine in Vietnam, I've seen the value our gov't holds on human life, especially ours. Decades later I can say: As a Marine in OIF/OEF, I've seen the value our govt. holds on human life, especially ours. The 2A will always stand in my family.
