Great piece of content brother, expertly dissected. As a small artist myself I'm gravely concerned for what this means to me. Spotify seemed like a legit way of earning just that extra little bit of cash on the side, and now it seems as though it could easily be swept away from artists like myself because we're not hitting arbitrarily defined thresholds. I really hope this works out, otherwise I'm going to be quite literally poorer.
