I was also looking for loafers: can you try the brands: SESA - NYC or Philadelphia model , GH BASS - Venetian or Whitney model, and or Sebago: Will or Dan model. Thanks.
I think you would love the Sam Edelman Loraine Bit Loafer, Lizzy! It's my most comfortable shoe. I've also been curious about the Jamie Haller Penny Loafer x
@@LizzyHadfieldhow about those you already own and like the most in last year or 6 months? Of course, links similar pieces are welcomed because I’m pretty sure I can’t afford the bags you use.
Love these +30 minute vlogs! The update on your kitchen was nice and I’d love to see more interior decorating content as you continue to finalize your home! I think lighting even more minimal and streamlined in the kitchen would contrast the rest of it nicely. Page Wassle on RU-vid always has nice lighting recommendations! I think it would be nice to see your sunglass recommendations, but for a testing basics it’s too individualized in terms of taste and fit. Perhaps you could do more content about transitional dressing for practical things like shoes that are good for walking around in spring! I always struggle with dressing for the heat and still being comfortable.
I never comment but have watched your videos (and read your blog) religiously since Manchester, I just have to say this kettle content is the best and reminded me of when you bought the expensive bin in your old flat 😅 All the lols! xxx
I am here for the kettle content! For the hard water thing--we have super hard water in southern california--it will erode granite countertops, that's how bad it is. once a month or so I add some distilled white vinegar to the kettle, swirl it around and then let it sit for a spell, then clean it and run it through once with water to get the vinegar out. I couldn't believe when I lived in London how fast the kettle would boil--the voltage is different than in America and ours always take at least 3-4 minutes. I have a stainless steel Russell Hobbs model that they don't make anymore and I can't imagine anything taking its place.
Thank you!!! I love all this kettle advice lol. I agree they boil so much faster in London too, I always notice this in New York / most people don't even have a kettle!
Just sunglasses collection video please! I don’t care about the face shape or it being/not being a part of testing basics series, I’m just curious about your pics as I like your style!❤
Hi Lizzie :) I also struggled with what I thought was hormonal acne for over a year. I recently spent some time swimming everyday in the ocean and it completely healed my skin. I had tried everything short of going on accutane. Just wanted to give you this suggestion because I understand how frustrating the struggle can be
Pet sematary was a childhood favorite along with the exorcist - so excited you’re getting into the horror genre. I highly recommend Amityville Horror next!
4:47 I keep a filter jug of water by my kettle - tastes better, reduces the limescale build up, and the water boils more quickly as the water is room temp 👍🏻
Hard water leaves residue. For example, you may notice that water spots on cups or utensils washed in hard water are white and textured. Like dust. It's nasty
Are the lamps Santa Cole? The ceiling connection plate looks like their design - and if so its installed correctly! meant to leave a nice negative detail at the top, so they float off the ceiling a little, rather than being so blocky like normal ones :)
Lizzie! Take heed with the new kettle, I stayed in an air bnb with that one and foolishly reached across it as it was at peak boil, because the nozzle isn’t at an angle it’s blasted hot steam onto my forearm and scolded me…so basically just make sure you turn the kettle away from any naked skin and don’t make the same stupid mistake I did 🙈😂
Lizzy have you ever thought of trying differin gel or trent to treat your spots? Trent can be a bit strong so start slowly. My derm just threw the medication at me with few directions SMH.
I have your Tod’s loafers in leather. They are supremely comfortable but I have never worn them outside - I thought they were just for inside or driving
When you live in an area that has hard water, make sure to desacel your kettle regularly. It's very simple: one part vinegar, three parts water. Let it boil and then let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Rinse and your done! It not only prolongs the life of the kettle, it will also keep the water boiling quickly. I now use a Brita filter when I fill the kettle and the coffee maker. So I don't have to descale as often (before I had to do it every two weeks, at least, my area has super hard water), I no longer get that scum in top of my tea and my tea tastes much better now 🫖
Totally agree the electrician messed up the installation - I think some glass milky white shades would look nice. Not spheres necessarily but they have some nice shapes from schoolhouse
How about testing basics linen shirts? I cant remember if you had already done this one. With summer (hopefully) around the corner, i'm a big fan of a linen shirt as a sun covering layer!
Two things, three really. I would love a testing basics on dressier sandals. Also, where did you get the frame that you used for all the bits from your Dad that hangs on your wall? We have pictures and bits from a trip to Italy that we would like to do a similar thing with, but can’t find a frame. Three, after reading “The Exorcist”, I recommend reading “Diary of an American Exorcist” by Stephen J. Rossetti and/or “The Devil is Afraid of Me” by Fr. Gabriele Amorth.
Thanks for the answer under the last video! I know you changed style and maybe you dont wear them anymore, but could you make a video about vans slip on? It would be great! Maybe even suggesting some outfits and talking about using them with or without socks!
I'd still be interested in watching the sunglasses one. Would give insight into the brands and what's out there even if the exact style wouldn't suit every face.
People judge me when I suggest reading this book but if you want a creepy gothic horror, read Flowers in the Attic. I’m not ashamed to say that it is hands down my favourite book.
Lizzy you have to read Robert Aickman, he wrote mostly tales, "strange tales" as he defined his work. His stories are eery and unsettling, that kind that leaves you thinking what you just read.
I suggest you try a couple of Neutrogena products. I have terrible skin and Rapid Clear worked for me. They have a new product you might try. It’s called Adapalene, i think.
couldnt you do a testing out sunglasses just for yourself? like a challenge to yourself or something, styling 5 different glasses for a week and then evaluate which you like the best? :D
