Hello.this history is wrong.islamic conquest of north Africa (Alexander and Tripoli) was led by a man called Amr Ibn AS.. According to this video, Islam reached north Africa before east Africa which is very wrong. Amr Ibn AS (the man who later took Islam to north Africa)was not even himself a Muslim when Islam came to horn of Africa.actually Islam reached home of Africa before it even reached madina.it was during the second hijra(to medina)that Islam reached medina. The Asahaba stayed in Abyssinia for 10 years. The first group were led by Jaafar ibn Abi talib(the cousin of the prophet) and they landed at Eritrea port city of messawa and built masjid Asahaba(which still face Jerusalem)and they were 23 in numbers.the second group migrated later and they were very many(83 people)and were led by udhmaan Ibn Afan and landed in the Somaliland port city of zeila which borders Djibouti and built masjid qiblataiyn. Now people are teaching different history.

Spain and Portugal were not islamic countries, they were still christian, just Iberia was conquered by an Islamic country (I think it was the Ummayad Caliphate). Most Muslims were expelled or fled themselves to north africa after the Reconquista, yes and some were also killed in pogroms or rebellions. Christianity wasn’t really forced upon the sub-saharan Africans, most of that was Missionaries doing what Missionaries do. And the African countries aren’t poor because of Christianity, they are poor mostly because the colonizers didn’t properly decolonized them, had other countries meddle in their affairs and governments being corrupt in general (some also had civil wars). Again, the colonizers didn’t directly force the Africans to speak English, French or Portuguese, the Africans kinda had to learn the language in order to negotiate or just generally communicate with the Europeans.
