From someone that occasionally works with steel and aluminium, watching you work lead is amazing. How you can spread it out and shrink it over things is so cool. 👌
My late father in law was a master plumber who specialised in scotch roll lead roofing. He was from Scotland and he did many many roofs in London . He always made a small lead thistle and welded it on somewhere secret . He never wore gloves and died at 70 . His manner was that of always pissed off . This was probably due to the amount of lead in his system.
Use to live in a Major Metro in the States. Was concerned about Lead Water Pipes so called the City. Was told that our Water came from a River and was Soft. Lead is stable and doesn't leach. Fast forward 40 years and if you remember Acid Rain was discussed a lot. I wonder if the problem of Lead in the Water in Flint Michigan could be attributed to their water supply becoming Acidic?
