I planted mitsuba seeds in my herb planter before pandemic. It has continuously grew and proliferated the last two years. It never dies down.

This all looks delicious I could choose all of them myself. Love the seasonal items in Japanese supermarkets! Though sometimes a bit sad if something seasonal disappears when you really like it and you're not sure it will come back next year.

A spring bird would be a migrating bird. Like robins here in the Midwest USA. They migrate South for the winter and return in the Spring. Everybody always looks out for their first robin of Spring.

I really like the thought that eating seasonal items keeps the meals interesting. Did you know "rape" blossoms didn't go over well so they renamed it canola?

Ahhh that makes sense. I was wondering why it wasn’t called rape.

What was actually the pink thing at first?
@restaurantman
@restaurantman 2 года назад
If you are referring to the item at 0:47, I believe that is Mountain yam which has been pickled in vinegar with Ume (preserved plums) - which lends the pink coloration.

I’ve just unsubscribed from all of these extra channels as it seemed like you’d stopped doing stuff for them. Are you starting them all back up again? I’d rather just stick to the main tabieats channel tbh. Less disjointed. Genuine question, not moaning lol 😆 👍
