With the mention of the pride armour I guessed it was Gilear but when the full reveal happened I did a full on celebration. Such a good moment.

The moment of the confrontation with the gods vs Kristen, I realised Kristen only looked really scared when tought Tracker was dead.

Honestly a dnd campaign vhs tape would be the best thing to survive the apocalypse and be found, whomever did could watch and begin to understand Humanity in its very basic form… Storytelling, all the emotions, friendships/relationships, faith and doubt, imagination… it’s literally all the things that make us human. Almost the modern day equivalent of cave drawings and songs of story around a fire.

Oh man, this brings back memories. When this was filmed, I was in my last year of undergrad. I got an entire Master's degree in the meantime, and a job, as of a few days ago. This feels like an eternity ago and, at the same time, like it's just happened.

As someone who has been through a story so similar to Kristen's her faith transition has just been handled so beautifully and has brought me some comfort seeing it reflected back to me in this way.

I literally only found out about D20 only a few days ago and I have binged the entirety of Fantasy High season 1 and 2, In fact I got so into this video I accidently missed New Year! So incredible, genuinely moving storytelling, Brennan and the Intrepid Heroes are almost disgustingly talented - love them all and cant wait to watch the next vid! Happy New Year!

I imagine Diogenes fighting the gods while wielding two featherless (and fatherless) chickens in both hands. After they kill this manifestation of him, they smell something. They go to the little staircase of their god house and they step on a huge pile of crap. And then hear the faint laughing of this reflection of diogenes.

Watching this in 2024 is so bonkers because it was downgraded from a pandemic a couple months back I think and it's been virtually back to normal (not really, but)--it IS definitely comforting to have heard people say things like what they say in the intro (i.e., if you don't know why, here's why) back when this all started, and to now finally be here 5 years...holy shit, five years after the fact. I'm glad they all got through it safely.

With all of this about "as above, so below", now I'm thinking about Kristen's Yes!/? god from last season 🤔 It really was a reflection of Kristen at that time in her life, having just left Helio and excited to find something else but also full of doubt. It was kind of powerless, just as she maybe felt, at the time, and, as we know now, still powered by Helio, as not only was he still powering up Kristen, but also was created kinda like through Sol's favor of Kristen too (unless I really don't remember/understand what happened in that season finale lol), and especially knowing that Kristen, Tracker and one other dude were its only followers. I wonder what could've happened with it, if it really died when its creator left it, or if it was just a part of Sol/Helio bc he sponsored Kristen, or if it could channel into some part of the new goddess maybe, as Kristen now worships her ("Yes?" sounds like it could fit her brand), or if it could even become a different iteration if like other people started following it. It's an interesting concept, a recently created god with no followers, with everything we learned this episode, I wonder if they'll ever pick it back up
