Spring Carp fishing 

With the river and Pike fishing seasons over it was time to dust off the Carp gear for my spring Carp fishing campaign.
On my first trip I headed straight for the shallows as I expected the fish to be there with the mild sunny conditions. Clear water was running in from the feeder stream and the water was fairly clear so any fish would be easily visible. Not a thing!
I decided to set up in an area I'd seen fish a few days earlier when I had a walk around. There had not been a sign of fish all day. Absolutely nothing!
At the end of the day as I'd just packed my gear away, a fish boshed out up in the shallows on the far margin. I had a walk up there and it was crawling with fish! Big clouds of mud being stirred up and tails coming through the surface - they were feeding hard.
The next time I visited it was the same again. Nothing there in the morning but come late afternoon the narrow shallow arm was rammed with feeding Carp.
Now this area is no fishing so I baited up 2 spots in the margins on the nearest swim, hoping to intercept fish moving in and out of the area. With the spots baited I returned the following morning.....
