My mom passed a little after 9am. That afternoon, we had a tremendous storm. When the storm was over, there was this huge double rainbow right over our house. I, we, knew it was from her, letting us know she was safe in Heaven.

I just recently found your channel. Growing up, my grandmother always loved going to Garage Sales, Thrift Stores, and Garage Sales. I didn't start to appreciate them until I became older. And honestly, I started watching your channel because, my Grandmother recently lost her husband, (he was 94, she is currently 88), and I am trying to help her downsize, while I'm also trying to find things that I like with stuff she has given me. I have also thrifted pieces I enjoy and have added my own flair. I love dark, and Victorian style things. Long story short. Her health is not the best, and it's always so hard to leave her when I go home. But I come home and see the things we have found together and the things she's given me. So I understand the part of her being your person when it came to thrifting. I know this is an older video. But I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. My Mom passed at a young age and she was never really my Mom. My grandparents raised me. I was very fortunate for that, I was always with my Moms parents and went to my Grandas on the weekends. I have been binge watching your videos for inspiration on how to decorate my house and I have really enjoyed seeing your finds and getting to know you. Have a great and safe Memorial Weekend ❤

This is an older video, so you likely will not see it, but I felt like leaving it anyways. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I lost my mother a few years ago. I love her dearly. She wasn’t the best mom, in truth I only lived with her for maybe 3 years of my life and it was difficult. I know she did the best she could though, and I know in my soul she loved me with her whole heart. Watching this video and hearing the pain in your voice; I know that pain. I’m truly so very sorry for your loss. I hope and pray that as time goes by it gets a little easier. ❤ Happy Mother’s Day!

My Mom was a florist her whole life ~ my fondest memories were of taking the bus to her flower shop every afternoon and doing my homework on the table where she was creating arrangements. The fragrance of new blooms, old ones, and as well as that particular woodsy, mossy type scent you only smell in an actual flower shop is forever associated with my Mom. The first Mother's Day after she passed, I was feeling very sad and sorry for myself because my kids were on vacation with their Dad and I missed my Mom. But as I woke up that morning, my entire home was filled with that unique fragrance ~ and I did NOT have any flowers. Yet their scent was everywhere, so intense I could not mistake it for anything else. It stayed that way all day, only evaporating the very next day. Had to have been my Mom 🥰😇 making sure I knew that she was still with me.

Oh what a beautiful tribute to your dear mum ❤️ tears welled up in my eyes as I listened to you recall your day in the park with Jameson 💙 I know your mum is watching over you ~ everytime you think of her, she is right there by your side. I too planted a dark lilac shrub in memory of my dear mum who lived to the wonderful age of 96. I will be on the hunt for another lilac just like yours. You are a beautiful, caring and extremely talented person Krysta 💖 thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute to your mum xx💗💗

I literally got goosebumps hearing your story about your mom and the teapot. It's obvious you two had a special bond and she is greatly missed. My condolences on your loss. I also lost a parent this year, my father in Feb. He lived in a 100 year old huge home in need of lots of repairs. He always said to us not to sell the house after he passed because it had so much potentional and he spent many hours working on it. Unfortunately, after months of trying to figure out budget, find contractors, and planning the logistics of moving in, it just wasn't meant to be. Finding contractors was the hardest part and even months later I didn't have anyone finalized, the carrying costs were high, and the stress of working a full time job, reselling, and worrying about how I was going to fullfill his final wish to keep it was too much. I was stressed every day and this house consumed all of me. After heartfelt consideration and tons of grief and guilt, I ended up selling it, but first wanted to spread some of his ashes under a tree he loved to sit. Other family members joined us the day before settlement and I cried to heaven for him to forgive me for not being able to keep it. At that very moment the garage light flickered. It was off and there was no explaination for it to have happened. Everyone saw it and we were all kind of in shock. I took that as a sign that he knew I did everything possible and was ok with my decision. From that moment on I felt better and the weight and guilt of the house started to fade away. The house settled June 30 and since than I've felt at peace and feel it was the right thing to do. I do believe in signs, and feel your mom and my dad both sent us one .

Hi Maria! Thank you so much for sharing your story with me, I honestly got goosebumps reading your story as well. There’s a feeling of “knowing” that comes along with those experiences. I believe he was sending you comfort in that incredibly difficult decision. As an old house owner/lover I totally understand, the stress of rehabilitating a house is all consuming and can be incredibly costly, especially with the circumstances the industry and contractors are in nowadays. I also lost my mom in February, so we’ve been on this treacherous grief journey about the same amount of time. I’m so sorry you lost your dad, there are no words for the pain of losing a parent. I hope you and your family are finding healing and comfort. Thank you again for sharing. ❤️

I just found you last month. It's nice to know someone else out there loves dark vintage furniture. I lost my mother the day after my birthday last week. Her birthday was 3 days after she died and we decided to celebrate her life by going to her favorite restaurant. While we finished eating, the large party behind us sang happy birthday to their grandmother, the song we would have sung if my mother hadn't died 4 days earlier. It was surreal and felt like she was there with us loving the fact we were there celebrating her life. Watching your video has given me hope. Thank you for sharing.

I recently found your channel & have been watching videos tonight. Today is the 5th anniversary of my Mom passing, and I’ve been thinking about her all day. The day my Mom passed I was standing at my kitchen window and a female cardinal flew by & landed in a tree. I said “hi pretty girl” out loud to her, I used to see her periodically. I didn’t know that my Mom had passed when I saw her fly by, I found out about an hour later. It was my Mom flying by saying goodbye to me as she was on her way to heaven. Loss of a Mom is so painful, I hope her memories bring you comfort.

I’m trying to remember how I ran into your channel. I was trying to find something to watch and I thought I would go through your old videos and see anything that might look interesting. I saw you putting these beautiful plates out… my mom has a collection of those, I lost my mother early this year and I still have bad days as a matter fact right now I’ve tried watched your video so I know exactly how you feel. I miss my mom tremendously. I will never get over her loss. I will learn to live without her, but I forever miss her. A few days ago one of my older sisters handed me my moms mothers ring and a couple of other jewelry pieces including her wedding bands. I think I was given so much of it because I was very close to my mom anyway I just wanted you to know that I absolutely love your video and it was a beautiful tribute to your mama!❤

So sorry for your lost. I can tell you and your mom had a wonderful relationship. Your kind words about her and memories are so special. 2 weeks before my dad died of cancer we were outside and a few common grey pigeons were out. He said, “I hope I don’t come back as a pigeon.” About 2 hrs after he died we left his hospice room to go home. There was a mostly white w a few black spots pigeon by itself. We felt like it was a sign my dad was ok.

I lost my sweet daddy in March of 2010. He adopted me when he was in his late 60's as a peace corp nurse and he literally saved my life as a dying baby. In 2010 he had Alzheimer's, 90 years old and fell. That resulted in a severe skull fracture. He hung on for a few weeks in March...made it through my wedding anniversary and my birthday. He was moved to a beautiful hospice for the last week. We decorated his room with pictures of his only granddaughter and pictures of he and I together. My husband played music he loved from the 40's. On a beautiful spring day, 7 days before his 91st birthday, my husband and I decided to have lunch in the gardens of this beautiful hospice. My mother stepped out to speak with the nurses and my husband went to get us lunch. I had a moment alone with my Daddy for the first time during all of this. I layed my head on his chest, listening to his labored breath, I held his hand.... I told him I was okay now, that my husband was going to take care of me and that I didn't want him to suffer anymore. I told my daddy that he can let go but that I needed him to send me a sign that he was with me. I whispered to him how much I love him. My husband came and got me and we went to the gardens. As we sat there, the sun twinkled through the leaves of the old oak trees. I heard this call, a call I've never heard before. And through the flowers and branches, sitting on a stone wall on the opposite side of this courtyard, I saw a bird come flying towards us. This beautiful Bluejay bird landed right above us, and stared at me and sang. He sang and sang all while staring at me. I've never seen one before now, and I couldn't get over how gorgeous the blue shades gleamed in the sunlight. As he finished his song he flew down, so close to me that I felt his wings glide across my back. He landed on our picnic table and sang some more. I looked at my husband, he looked at me and then out if the corner of my eye, I saw the chaplain walking towards us. My heart broke immediately. I knew. I quickly left some pieces of bread for the bird, testing to see if he was there for food... I watched the bird as he watched me walk back to my dad's room. My dad took his last breath as we sat in the garden. Later the day I went back to the picnic table to see if the Bluejay ate the bread...it had not been touched. I will never forget the sight of that Bluejay flying across the courtyard....how beautiful he was. How determined this little bird was to get to me and sing. How we watched each other, in stillness. It's interesting....their feathers have so many shades of blue that change ever so slightly in the sun. My father had the same blue eyes. We live in an old Victorian house now, with beautiful trees all around. We feed at least 20-30 Bluejays here. And ever since my dad passed, my husband is the one that finds Bluejay feathers. All of these birds here but I never find the feathers, only my husband. I'd like to think that, that's my dad's way of letting me know that he is here, and that he loves the man that now takes care of me. I miss him, every single day. My heart is forever broken, but I know he is here. I feel that. Sending you light and love and I hope you continue to have your signs of your dear mother as well💖🌌

my mom passed 5 years ago. She was in a nursing home on hospice. The nurse sent me home since I had not left my mom in about 3 days. After getting some sleep and home cooked food I went out side in the sunshine. A bubble floated up near my face. It was about the size of a soft ball. It hovered for quite some time right at my face and then just floated away. My mother lost her eyesight when I was about 10 years old, so my mother had never seen me as an adult. When I went back to the nursing home they told me that while was gone my mom had gone unconscious and possibly brain dead. Her heart stopped several hours later. I thought back to the bubble. I’m sure that she had come to say her goodbye and to see what I looked like as an adult. There were no other bubbles that day. No one washing a car or a dog or playing with a toy that made bubbles. In lew of flowers at her memorial we had clear balloons that looked like bubbles so she would know we had recognized her.

Yes I have. My mom came to me in a dream and although she was just smiling telepathically she relayed that she was great and she just wanted to tell us all that she loved us. As a matter of fact one of my brothers and one of my sisters and my dad she’s all given us messages. It’ll be interesting when I see my youngest brother and youngest sister, they live out of state, if she has given them a message as well. What’s funny like you I went out and bought flowers, that’s something she and I did together every year. I’m adding a yellow rosebush to my garden this year in her honor.

My husband passed 6 years ago. A year ago, on my husband's birthday, my Granddaughter who lives with me was coming out of her room and found a quarter on the floor (she said it hadn't been there earlier). She came to show me that the year on the quarter was 2017, the year my husband passed. It was a State quarter (we live in SC now), but I looked at the back and it was a NJ State quarter, the State we are from. We always make his favorite cake on his birthday and I believe he wanted to let us know he was with us.
