Hello & Welcome to Frau Holle Cottage
Well, Spring has definitely arrived here in Southern California. As much as I enjoy this time of year, I am a little sad that I did not get a beautiful snow fall this winter at the cottage. I do have to say though, that all the flowers that are blooming in our area, sure are making up for the lack of snow we didn't have. I love this time of year and I especially love taking pictures of all the flowers. More will be blooming at our local park, so stay tuned for another flower video coming soon.
As I am writing this, the rain is starting again. Today we had rain on and off all day. We didn't get to piddle around outside much, so we headed off to the thrift store and I was able to find a few nice things for the cottage. The best part of my day though was bringing home some beautiful small wild sunflowers. I don't know the name of them, but they grow wild everywhere along the side of the roads and places. I love flowers and I hope to plant more flowers this year. I really want to plant some Dahlias. I hope that the Southern California summer heat isn't too much for them.
