We start here with finishing up the Fuel filter change on the 8600, and bleeding fuel through the injector pump. Give her a fire up, and move on to 9600 Fuel filter time lapse. Thanks for watching hope you enjoy.
I have been trying to get my tractor running again for 6 weeks after changing the fuel filter. You showed me my problem in the first 30 seconds of your video. I had the seal pushed down in the filter blocking the fuel from coming down. Thank you very much!
I have a question about transmission fluid on the 8600. I just got a 8600 and was trying to find out if the transmission and hydraulic fluid are both added at the same place in the rear. I take it the dipstick on left side under rear filter is for trans?
yep you are correct dip stick that goes down around the axle is trans / hydraulic, both are added by the top 3 point arms, you do have to watch out for the earlier ones though the trans and rear end can be 2 separate oil compartments
So I have a question. I'm looking at picking up an 8600 and the guy told me the hydraulic pump is out of it. Can you give me some insight on how to change it
So basically it is just below the levers, more to the bottom of the transmission, the control valves should come off and it is behind that plate. long story short, if you get one of those reprinted manuals it points it out a bit better than I can describe, but its not a huge splitting job or any thing like that. Thanks for the comment.
Was your timing moved recently? I wouldn't be looking there first, what's left on injector life are they holding preassure? is your service pump leaking? Alot of things can be the cause of poor starting, are your rings getting long in the tooth, Its hard to tell you your tractor isn't in front of me.
I'm sure you could as long as you meter pressure, not sure why you would want to though, the original service pumps are not all that expensive, and there is plenty of aftermarket availability as well
