Spring Time Trout Fishing in Michigan (fishing for Trout in the Spring with spinners)

In this episode of The Average Joe Fisherman, Winter has gone and, more importantly, spring time trout fishing in Michigan has arrived! But, with the the wild fluctuations in temperature, spinner fishing for trout in Michigan can be hit or miss. When fishing for trout in the spring, success really depends upon timing it right and the right choice of lure. While I stand by my statement in a prior video, the crankbait is the best spring time lure, there is something special about spinner fishing for trout in Michigan for me. Maybe because it's a throwback to being taught to fish for trout. Or, maybe it's what I am most comfortable doing. Either way, today I am fishing for trout in the spring with spinners.

dude i seriously cant be more thankful for such a terrific realistic video of trout fishing! i just watched a few of your video's and they are all exciting and fun to watch from the bite to the way the rod bends literally almost like im there! thank you and please keep the cool vids coming and tight lines !

What a great compliment. Thank you. The weather has gotten better here in Michigan but finding a stretch of river without five guys already being there is difficult. Once the steelhead return to the Great Lakes it should be easier to find some trout. I did get out yesterday though and handled a few Browns. Vid coming soon. That's again for watching.

@@theaveragejoefisherman4287 so check this i got into "trout fishing " directly last september i went to oscoda and used a rattle trap lmfaoooo im use to be a pike bass fisher so i used my gut so obviously i got nothing! so went to gates au sable lodge rented a fly rod and actually caught a rainbow trout only 5 inches but seriously i got hooked ! i been to the rifle river tribbutaries i nailed a 10 inch brown at gambble creek in lupton and then dnr rolled up n said its CLOSED ! he said i could have gave ya a ticket so i been trying other type 3s n type 4s i nailed 2 more 11 inch browns out of klacking creek n then found out that was closed! so i just went to jackson an hr from my house and fished sandstone creek which is a stream that joins the mackey brooke and i shit you not i nailed i think mihgt have been a 25+ inch brown trout not so thick but long im going to post a pic and this all happend within a 6 month period of obscurity ! bro its your videos that got me out there in a way it was you that influenced me to get out there and have "hope" i thank you with all my heart i hope u catch more than you have taught us and u have taught alot!
