Had an opportunity to get a close look at a new Hellion. This video discusses field stripping and cleaning suggestions. Thank you Mark for allowing us the use of your firearm.
Thanks for the info on this new to us rifle. I just bought one. It's easier to insert the buttstock rods if you leave the bolt carrier toward the rear. I love how this gun comes apart without tools!
Very helpful, thank you for the video! I’ve had mine for a couple of months now and this video will be very useful for when I do end up cleaning it. Thanks again 👍
It would be nice if you showed EXACTLY how far the firing pin goes in since there is a possibility of two different depths. I didn't get a good look at mine when I took it apart and I definitely do not want to break or damage it by putting it in the wrong position catch. It seems that you think you are being detailed but in reality, you aren't as clear and concise as you think you are.
How far in the does firing pin go? When you push the bolt back with your hand, should it it be able to lock back in the last notch? Should the firing oin be able to pop out after you put the firing pin retaining pin in? Thanks!
Remove the upper from the lower then put into upper receiver vice block then you will be able to remove. If the muzzle break has been pinned and welded, you will need to take it to a gunsmith to drill the pin out and remove.
The sear should come right out unless there is damage or lots of dirt. If you are local bring it by the shop and we'll help. Otherwise contact your local gunsmith or you're welcome to send it to us.
You video is excellent, but will be better if you were facing the camera. Sometimes your body cover the action you ere doing. To be in the other side of the table, facinf the camera, will be a good solution
