Sprint Cars in Adelaide! Everything You Need to Know 

It has me excited, was debating about flying from Brisbane for the Supercars, now I will, if the event was 30 minutes away at another speedway location I wouldn’t be able to go so being near the city and Supercars lets me see both, I’ve missed Sprintcars since Archerfield closed 😭

i love the idea and will be there but if the track surface is sandy or just plain old dirt and not much banking it will be a flop. as in follow the leader style racing and plenty of crashes into the fence. a good speedway track cant be built in a fortnight. IMO.

I’d love to see waters drive double duties in the supercar and sprintcar

Would be amazing if they can pull Brad Sweet and maybe Kyle Larson. It would be fully after Nascar and High Limits season

Great video Toby, but I am unsure whether people will have the opportunity to buy a "speedway only" ticket. Ticketing for the event is on general sale and has been for a while now. There are tickets for Stands and GA. There are also tickets for GA, which include some level of priority access to the concerts. The thing is that these tickets are all still a full or multi day ticket. I'd be confused to why they would even want to offer anything different to that. You want to go, you buy a ticket for the whole day (or all 4 days). The other thing, reading some of the comments and here, is that I fully back what you have said about the event being for the promotor, not speedway. The SAMSB are looking at ways to creatively fill a full program. They have tried many things over the years, from Classic F1 cars, bringing over Ken Block (RIP), twilight races, top line international concerts, what ever. This is just another way to sell more tickets to the 1 event.

I’m really excited for this event just what sprintcars need in SA, I live just 10-15mins from Speedway City at Virginia and I’d love to see money spent there to get it back up to standard.

I would be great to have a BIGGER track, I have spent a lot of years watching Speedway at Claremont & the Perth/Kwinana Motorplex so I am obviously biased in track size, I guess there are constraints with a temporary track. Also as you said weather could be a factor which would disappointing for the sport. Fingers crossed that it all comes together well,

Only 8000 spectators. How may tickets will be available as just speedway tickets for the two nights. A lot of people will miss out on this event.

This could only be a good thing for all Speedway IMO. Hopefully Speedway City will get some love after the event and start up again as it would be good to see tracks in major cities operate. Living in the ACT with family in SE QLD, I always had the idea of going to Archerfield for my fix, sadly no longer. I still miss Tralee here as I used to live up the road and loved every minute I spent there. Much better racing than Touring cars...

For a sport that lacks promotion to the wider public (us fans already know how good speedway is) this can only be a good thing. Being an invitational event is going to guarantee a quality field from top to bottom

I take it you will be coming to watch? Better stock up on merchandise! This has to be the biggest promotion sprintcars in Australia has seen for a long time

The owners of the land that houses the closed Speeday City track is not at all interested in Speedway so any Permanent Track for Adeliade would require a total new site. Embrace this event for what it is and thats a stand alone event to put Australian Sprintcar racing to the world audience.

Anybody who watches Supercars, knows that all of the commentators love speedway, and in particular, sprint cars. They talk about it whenever they can. Of course it is exciting. Can't wait to watch on the tele. It will be the most exciting part of the weekend. And that's not taking anything away from the Adelaide Supercars weekend. It has always been a great weekend. Michael Pickens hopefully gets a run too. Looking forward to all of the details being released.

Safety is the biggest worry here

Personally i haven't seen any footage anywhere of jock talking on stage other than small clips but not the whole thing. Ive checked all social media platforms and found nothing. If they want people to be interested then surely the footage of a sprintcar driver talking at the launch day of sprintcars being at the Adelaide 500 would be plastered everywhere

Supercars are V8 engines in tube chassis and glass/carbom bodies with wings. Hang on......that's Sprintcars. Let's just piss off the Supercars.
