By not disconnecting the negative wire first, you were just inches away from welding your wrench to the chassis if your grip should slip while loosening or tightening the positive terminal! Just sayin'.....
Doug F trust me I was very aware of that the housing around the batteries plastic but yes I'm very aware of that when I do that that my wrench do not touch the metal because it will be arching negative and positive but great observation thank you for letting me know

Mercedes Sprinter DIY Thanks for the quick reply my friend , I wanted to know if you ever got to try the scarab jet boat , also what are the advantages or disadvantages of a jet boat over a similar size outboard engine boat . I’m thinking of buying a boat next summer and wanted to have a better idea . 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The benefits of having a jet boat is that you can go and very shallow Waters like I do Bahama Waters very shadow so it's very convenient to have a boat with a shallow draft Scarab and Yamaha are the only ones that carry Jet Boats so you may want to do research on both of them I had both of them before I had a Seadoo that has the same rotax engine on the Scarab and it was an excellent engine and I also have a job now so I have try them both so check them both out and see which one of them to will be the best book for you I don't like outboards because you need more draft clearance to navigate and when I'm in the Bahamas I navigate between two feet of water with no problems
