@@mercedessprinterdiy8556 gear box as well you need to get underneath it and you will see Renault stamp on gearbox and just above it u we’ll see the stamp on engine as well. Google. Renault engine used by Mercedes. My Mercedes guy won’t work on them
Bro the 2.0 is better I own 4 cylinder and a 6 cylinder and a 2.0 hight output, I have loaded it with 4k lbs no problem. On top of that 600 to 700 mile range
The HO has more torque and more HP then the 6 cylinder diesel plus better MPG I am averaging about 24 mpg… however DEF killing all them sprinter L’s 🤦🏻♂️
Nice, I've always loved Mercedes Sprinters. I live in the UK and in my area Amazon has lots of Sprinter delivery vans, I've even seen these vans converted to looked like buses and they look very nice ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NWBETOotAU0.html.
Our Silverado with the 2.7L 4 Cylinder Gas can tow more than 9,000 Pounds. The 3.0 Diesel Inline Six can also pull more than 9,000 pounds. Our 2022 Colorado with the 2.8L Duramax Diesel was capable of towing 7,700 Pounds. And currently the Colorado (which is Motor Trend Truck of the Year) is only available with the 4 Cylinder 2.7 Gas from the Silverado and can also tow 7,700 Pounds. Fun fact: Semi Trucks are 6 cylinders and they tow 80,000 pounds. The Turbo is what makes the difference! This Mercedes should be more than capable of towing 5.000 pounds. Engineers know what they're doing.
Great video. Looking for someone in the Daytona, FL area to do the same to our Promaster. Is there someone that is comfortable doing the work for a fair price? I can run the lines, I need help with brazing the lines and attachment of the hardware under the vehicle. Thank you for your feedback.
thanks for watching and im sorry i wont be able to do it but you may find a Teck that may help you in your area and show them my video of what you want 👍
I changed the front calipers on my van and my odyssey began. The brake pedal went all the way to the floor. They changed the brake master cylinder, the ABS module, the rear calipers and it's still the same. It was purged with a scanner and nothing. I have never understood what happened. Do you purge the system with a scanner or with the press-release maneuver, etc?
Hey how’s it going I’m new to the Channel as I’m looking to get a cargo van for my job I do deliveries I’m new to cargo vans never driven one I do delivery in my pickup truck as im looking to upgrade to one of these 170wb high roof I want to get diesel option as there more reliable in the long haul you say with the 2.0L 4 cylinder could blow up I’m not gonna tow with this just haul cargo as you can hold 3 pallets in the 170wb
As long as you don't haul a lot of weight. You should be fine but also remember that diesel comes with a lot of maintenance , especially on the DEF system
Flushing took care of the fluid in the torque converter I assume. Any noticeable improvement? I think I have that rumble strip vibration issue. Some say draining torque converter resolves it. Flush looks to be a better deal.
Whats your point ??? I have a LWB high roof MB sprinter with a 3L V6, I just love the thing ! Cheap on fuel, runs great, lots of room ! I know the 2 L diesel consumes even less, but this is what I find when I needed it. You were saying " 2.0 " so many times, it felt like the needle is jumping back on and on the old LP ! Buy american !!!! You will drive on 17L/100Kms instead of 12 L ! You want to tow 16000 IB ? buy a shevy 2500 pick up, ( I have one ) it will do it on 24L/100 KMS ! Seems like you have too much time !
My thoughts exactly. I have the V6 4x4 Sprinter Van with a Thor Class B build on it. That thing weighs 8,500 lbs now.. Can't imagine putting a continuous weight like that on an engine that small. Stupid move.
Build outs in the industry add to your weight capacity so it's obvious you wouldn't in your situation! But your situation there is no comparison to a cargo van at diffrent weights .
The new engine has more torque and more hp than the old v6 and better fuel economy. Get on a Sprinter forum and do some research, the ‘23 and ‘24 owners are overall happy and impressed with 2.0L.
Since this was 4 years ago, would you use this same product or is there a newer product that you’d recommend? Appreciate your effort and all of your sprinter videos.
For those who wonder : yes, a 8ohm resistor will remove the dashboard warning, but it will heat up to 180C, and melt the plastic casing. Put it outside if you really use one.
This man has very little knowledge of cars. Mercedes has been making sprinters with 2.0l engines for 20 years and they can easily tow 2 tons and have run 500,000 kilometers.
i had a 2.1 Liter for 50k miles and 2 turbos and antifreeze starting leaking out of the engine ware it needed to be rebuild on a 2014 sprinter and i don't know what im talking about, common men do your homework please
@@mercedessprinterdiy8556 I don't believe you, that's not possible at A or you give full throttle wherever possible. You have an answer to everything we say, so it becomes unbelievable
@mercedessprinterdiy8556 expspiditors are using these to haul up to 4 pallets of goods. I'm sorry you sound a little ignorant and arrogant on this subject. I spoke with one that did full time transport! He said if it's well maintained shouldn't be a issue . Rpms stay low and I run the Highway everyday.
@@mercedessprinterdiy8556 These guys trying to say you are wrong either A) have never owned one or B) don't understand auto mechanics. There is a C) but I don't want to call them that. And no, it's not that C. LOL
What is 500,000 km for the USA? If I make 140,000 miles per year... a costly van just for 2 years ? Turbocharger to be replaced at about 200,000 miles.... Now they want to double that cost. This is absolutely European version of the power plant.
This guy has NOOOOO idea what he is talking about. Stuck on saying 2.0 2.0 only 2 Liters. Do you not know anything about current turbo technology and efficiency? Become knowledgeable before you post content. Just delete this 🤦🏻♂️
What's wrong with 2.0L? Smaller the better as long as power is there. More room to work on. Is this a pro or con video? Sounds more like a positive to me.
is just that you pay 60 to 100$ for a small 2.0 4 cylinder engine that sucks on towing , did you ever had a v6 if you did you would know what im taking about
Whoever buys these vans are pretty dumb. That van doesn't cost more to make than a diesel truck that is a 3/4 ton. The ones keeping these prices up are the vanlifers that make more than your average American through remote work in some tech company. I will keep my 2007 sprinter with a 3.0 turbo diesel. NO DEF Fuel at all.

This guy sounds like every American should be saying when buying anything. This country is making all of our consumables so expensive to buy. $100,000 for a VAN!!!! With no seats!!!!!!
