I have this same unit and installed it last night under the drivers seat of my Mazda 3. I love it. It's not going to bang while you go down the street, but the sound inside of the car is great!
Rather than needing to get ignition-only power from behind the radio, you can do it under the driver's seat from the distribution block with the black and yellow wire.
Need to keep the power and RCA cables at least 18 inches away from one another. Not trying to offend on your installation, but it prevents RFI getting him into the amplifier.
DIY Sprinter Van great 👍 video! I got the same sub and stereo deck as you but haven’t hooked up the sub yet! I got a question for you though! You said that you didn’t hookup the blue remote wire that’s comming off the subwoofers amp to the blue bypass wire behind the stereo deck but couldn’t you still connect it to that blue remote wire even though it’s connected to the Bypass and it would all still work? I think it would still work? Why can’t you connect it to that blue remote wire even though it’s connected to the Bypass? Are you sure it won’t work if you connected it to the blue remote wire with the Bypass as well? Please let me know because I’m going to be hooking up my sub/amp soon and I also have a Bypass hooked up to my stereo deck
I added the same setup as I liked the way that this was all setup. My Rockville died in less than 18 months. I replaced it with 12” sub by a different company with a larger, behind the seat enclosure. It definitely hits the lows better with a larger setup.
