Removing previous scope rings and installing a new SPUHR mount with Fix-it-sticks Edit: this video is 3 years old. Not sure why it’s showing it was uploaded Sep 2020.
The best way to level the scope is with a distant vertical ( comms tower etc ) object . Spirit levels have too much play in them on such small objects as mounts .
Hey man mounting the same optic on my impact precision build what height do you recommend also what's the difference between the 4001c an the 4001? I saw the other comment where your using the 1.18" correct? Would I be able to use the same one an maybe even add some moa can't to that height?
I’ve had several models from SPUHR. Currently the 4001, 4601 (6mil inclination) 4602 6mil 1.5” high) and 4006 1.35” high. I haven’t used the C models but those have the newer clamps and a shorter rear ring to but with a ledge to still mount an offset RDS. The 1.18” “should” cover you for most bolt action applications unless it’s on a chassis like AI or similar that requires taller AR height type mounts to clear the rail/forend of the chassis. 1.18 is plenty to clear a 56mm objective for my impacts with 1.25 straight in an MPA.
@@covarrubias736 unfortunately I don’t believe it will. The forend of the ESS adds height over the barrel if I recall and would require a 1.35-1.5” height mount. A quick message to MDT would likely have it answered with more information than I could provide to be honest.
@@covarrubias736 it very well may I just don’t know if it will clear the “ears” or whatever you’d want to call the sides that come up before the cut down the center of the rail to clear the barrel. The 4006 model has allowed me to run a Gen 3 Razor 6-36 on both bolts and AR’s with approx 1/8” clearance on the AR.
Hi iam new at this shooting iam looking for some help iam trying to get a scope mount for my rifle I have a MasterPiece Arms chassis a deviant tactical action with a 20 moa and a heavy bartlein barrel I ordered a night force atacar 7x35x56 iam looking to get a suphr Mount but don’t now with one is the right one for my scope and rifle
If you’re wanting SPUHR, the 4001 will be sufficient. It’s 1.181” height, 34mm, with 0-MOA inclination. With your 20-MOA base on the deviant this will work well.
