Your G3 front rail and the G3 Stock assy are great products and put the G3 platform into the 21 century. Maybe you can answer me one question. In the box of the rail there are 3 set/grub screws. What are they for? Couldnt figure it out yet. Th xfor an answer.
A nice product, but. Attaching your new style butt stock to the original back plate gives the appearance of being an ad hoc solution. A butt stock that is fully integrated with a redesigned and proprietary back plate would be more appealing.
newdefsys Thank you very much for you’r consideration in our stock. A new backplate with the built in recoilspring assy and a buffer, preferably heavy buffer would make a price increase of probably 200% That would kill the civilian market and the Military market would likely never been borned under those circumstances.
Does the Spuhr top rail have the cutout section that locks into the recoil lug just in front of the rear sight on some models of G3/PTR 91? I currently use an MFI claw mount but want the full rail space of the receiver.
i have an a.r.m.s. mount on my g3 and can hit a clay bird at 350 yards all day one moa 100 yards 10x30 Leupold . with the arms mount and I can drop my eyes down to see my sights.
james edwards yes but LOP is way to long for fast shots! Prone is never any problem with excessive LOP. Last version of our stock the cheekpiece is Quickly removable and irons can be used in emergency
@@Spuhrvision I respect you and your products a lot but for many people all of the quirks of the G3 can easily be overcome by dry firing in your garage, and practicing reloads. The Hensoldt scope is very well designed and offers illumination at 4x magnification, in every way it is a quick detach G3 purpose built ACOG.
I have never tried this, but I wonder if removing the Hensoldt 4x scopes from the claw mounts and placing them on the Spuhr G3 top rail (or a welded on top rail) is a workable solution if it is used with the Spuhr G3 stock? I have seen some pictures of AK4s with their welded on rail and what appears to be one of these 4X Hensoldt scopes mounted on there, farther away from the rear than it would be with a claw mount, but I am not sure how this works in practice. I wish I still had a Z24 Hensoldt to try this out.
Lol responding to my own comment, *yes* , as it turns out, the Hensoldt scope removed from the claw mount and put on a picatinny adapter (such as an A.R.M.S. #19 mount) and then mounted on the Spuhr G3 top rail works just fine. The eye relief is still relatively short, but being able to shorten the Spuhr stock and mount the Hensoldt scope just a slot or two farther forward on the rail is all that is needed, no problems with "scope eye".
tengu190 zero opinion as I have zero experience. My only question is why they made it longer than reiciver..... Its not really like you need/want extra weight on G3. Its heavy as it is....
