No for real cause the sheer accuracy in which they were able to gauge our stupidity. I haven’t watched it in years, but if I went back and saw they put in dialogue basically taunting us for being stupid I wouldn’t be surprised cause they knew we were too stupid to catch it.
I still love that he WAS The Guy, someone who conquered this game and finally about to beat it but the Toymaker wasn’t gonna let some stranger who earnestly played his game get in the middle of his revenge plot lmao
@@inanimatesum4945 The Toy Maker was going to kill them, potentially. The game was just a ruse. Edit: I just remembered the movie. The Toy Maker was going to force the real players to stay in the game forever. He actually says it in the movie.
I remember this as a kid and thinking “WOW...so cool, so calm, so assured and confident!” And then he dies almost immediately after his introduction and I thought “even cool guys die...”. Ironically, it was a huge lesson I learned.
I loved the subversion of expectations in that movie lol, dude shows up all badass, everyone’s in awe, destroys a barrier with one hand and then immediately just dies 😂😂😂
I love that they had Elijah Wood, who was an absolute mega star coming off LotR, cameo as the “actual” protagonist who gets immediately slapped and killed like a minute after being introduced. Probably the best part about SKs3D
I think sometimes really big actors do that as taking a break from a character, like how Daniel Radcliffe decided to take that role in “Guns Akimbo” because everyone only saw him as Harry Potter and he needed a breath of fresh air. Hell, I imagine it’s even fun for them sometimes too.
I love that Elijah Wood just showed up to die, like how Brad Pitt just flashed on screen for 1sec for Deadpool 2 or Johnny Depp and that other guy in 21 Jump St. There should be more cameos like this. Where high grossing actors just show up to die anticlimatically

@@Nocturne61 I loved it as a kid and haven’t watched it in like 10 years or something (23 years old now) but from what I remember I can imagine it’s pretty cringey but it’s also a kids movie so you gotta remember that when judging cringeyness. We liked it as kids because it was made for us when we were kids. I bet they are all pretty cringey to adults in 2021 but I am not mad at myself for watching spy kids 2 a million times as a kid. I loved that movie lol and also haven’t watched it in a long ass time but I remember so many scenes 😂

When I was a kid I went to the cinema with my best friend to watch this. We were both *extreme* fans of The Lord of the Rings, and we got so hyped when we saw Frodo's actor coming out of nowhere as the Chosen One. And we laughed so hard after him dying withing seconds after appearing. It was just so epic
It's even funnier when you remember one of the behind the scenes interviews on the lord of the rings return of the king video game saw Elijah Wood claiming he was the best gamer in the cast.

@@shawndom2081 are you implying with this bible passage that the scene is portraying the return of Jesus when people are sitting around wondering when he will come back, but alas here in this scene, they had their faith restored upon his arrival and announcement of being "the guy" is this your mans? Jesus Christ, the legend is here! Rejoice! Hallelujah! But Jews are unfortunately not waiting for the dude to come back. As far as Jews discern, it seems that we Jews believe that Christ is simply not the messiah or the Lord himself. He's just a dude whose mom cheated on his dad and when asked to explain where the baby come from if he was not able to procreate with her, she said "It's a miracle! God gave us this baby!" That makes no sense as to why a man with dignity would believe such a thing and just tell her how she feels but back then, this guy wrote down in a book "If a woman lies with another man they should both be stoned to death" and that made him feel satisfied but it leaves the rest of society learn the lesson, that cheating is wrong and lying is worse. I did not write this to bash Christians, because as a whole, I agree having faith is the key to having a blessed life. However, there's a lot of aspects of the Bible that I don't understand, even more and more as I get older and I continue to revisit the book. It also seems that when people are waiting for the drug dealer to come through, they sometimes begin to lose faith when the guy said "10 minutes" and it's been 2 hours. They try calling him but he doesn't answer the phone because he probably pulled over to smoke somewhere and now he's finally at the door. their faith is restored.
