The ballon d`or is between Messi and Haaland. And honestly this is one of the few ballon d`ors where i will be happy regardless of who the winner is. I think Messi will probably win it as the World Cup made him the unquestionable goat(and the narrative around it is huge considering the passing of Maradona, how long it has been for Argentina to win it since Maradona.) But on the otherside we see Haaland which won a treble and he broke loads of records and had a season similar to what we expect from the likes of prime Messi and CR7. If Messi wins it will cement him as the GOAT even mlre, but if Haaland wins it`s like a passing of the tourch from the previous generation(Messi and Ronaldo) Too the new generation(Haaland.) @@josefernandes9076 Mbappe didn`t win the the world cup, Messi has the most g+a this last season and he won the world cup(which by your logic is apperantly worse then scoring a hat-trick in the final jet still managing to lose while being carried by the ref.) Mbappe got a hat trick in the final yes, two of those goals where penalties and the man was damn near a ghost for 80 minutes. Cool Mbappe is the top goalscorer in the 6th best league in the world, Ligue 1 isn`t even considered top 5 anymore, and this is the man you want to win the ballon d`or absolutely laughable, atleast Messi can be justified due to the world cup win.
