t appears an El Paso County judge has had enough with a squatter who has filed multiple lawsuits from behind bars and will now have to seek court approval before filing any new cases.
Apparently not since he's out on parole. What an amazing system of injustice. And here I thought Colorado Springs was supposed to a bastion of law and order conservatives holding the line against those liberal loonies to the north.
The notary, the clerk, and the judge should also be held accountable. These things happen alot in every court. But they just rubber stamp the paperwork to make it easier on themselves so they can just do as little as possible until their pension starts. DISGUSTING
*The reporter needs to question the DA on why this guy isn’t being charged with fraud, perjury, etc.* Something tells me he’s laughing it up and he’s probably enjoying the Note-oriety he has received for fooling the court system and getting his face all over social media. So he hasn’t faced any consequences.
Exactly. All that fraudulent paper work is a crime in most states you think it would be in Texas where you can't even sneeze wrong without going to jail. If that was my family it would have never gotten this far anyway because they would have been out and they would not like the way I put them out either, if I had to break some kneecaps or a skull or 2 then so be it but I'll be god damned if a bunch of dirtbags are going to be laid up in my dead relatives house and driving her car and shit fk that.
I really dont understand how this guy isnt charged with multiple crimes for falsifying documents in efforts to sue someone. If u can falsify documents that have the power to upend someone's entire life, there should be laws to hold people accountable for falsifying them.
This dudes life is over. Even when he gets out hes a registered sex offender and squatting would send him back to jail. Shoot, sneezing too close to a school would send him back to jail. Farting accross from a Chucky Cheese would get him 10 years.
@@ampinghard111 sure... because clearly sex offenders are never repeat offenders or anything. Definitely a once and done crime. They are the one type you never ever trust again.
They should also be able to sue the sheriff he was driving around her car that was a stolen vehicle that would have been an easy simple solution instead of going through the eviction process just wait till he hits the pavement in her car and pull them over and charge them for Grand Theft Auto that would have made more sense to me I think he knows people or they just don't want to deal with him or something
@@rhettjanes1056 the way the deal with it is to go right over there and break some kneecaps or a skull or two because if that was my relatives, I'll be god-damned if a bunch of dirtbags are going to be laid up in my dead relative's house and driving her car and shit that is not going to happen. And they should be able to charge him with fraud and perjury for all that fraudulent paperwork, also sounds like the court doesn't want to deal with this bum is what's really going on.
Maybe someone needs to let the reaper know he needs to make a pick up and it's a rush rush job LMFAO.... of course he may not do it even the reaper has standards LMAO
It's not the judge's fault, it's the fraudster, Cole's fault. The judge's job is to review the evidence given to him then make a decision based on the facts. What was presented to the judge was that the home owner ignored the lawsuit. When you ignore a lawsuit and don't appear in front of the judge, there's no evidence to counter Cole's claim.
@@e-curbThere is no reason a judgment should have ever been given against the family. If the courts/judge reads a little, then it doesn't go this way ..
@@brianschaffer9220 It's not the judge's job to investigate the claim of the lawsuit. His job is to review the evidence put in front of him and make a decision. If the defendant didn't show up for court, there will be no evidence to counter the claim.
The notary may not have even been involved. All they need is a copy of their stamp. I’ve received legal documents with a copied signature from the local judge in my town.
You'd think, right? I lost my shit for a minute when they said he was out on parole. Closely being monitored? Give me a break. With these incompetent beuracrats he could take off and be gone for a month before anyone _might_ notice.
Okay but how can he even do this? He stayed and used a dead person's car/home, destroyed the house before leaving, THEN he gets to sue for 400,0000 and the family actually had to pay HIM? Is no one else seeing something very wrong here? What a joke of a system
@@chandracox6814 lawyers aren't cheap buddy. If the judge doesn't correct this and put an end to it immediately, they should sue back to get every dime they deserve and to get that judge off the courts
Apparently these laws that allow for squatters rights were originally developed to prevent someone from taking someone else’s house using the courts and saying that they actually have a claim on the house.
And nobody has taken care of this... Well, I can't say what I'd like to say, or else I'll face the Wrath of RU-vid censorship. This dude needs some Lakecity Quiet Pills. Plain and simple.
This is one of the many issues with our justice system. Squatters and tenants that cause more problems and destroy property are given more protection than the landlords and this is pre covid.
That's not really true. My last two landlords were scumbags the 1st one tried to steal my security deposit (pa has black and white rules on return of security deposits) the house had a mold issue and his lazy ass wouldn't come take care of it there was a water leak he wouldn't fix I generally don't mind fixing small things but this I knew I was moving after my lease so why should I go outta pocket on a rental? I had the threaten to take him to court to get my security deposit back and he tried to get me to leave 20 days before my lease was up by claiming the dates on my copy were a mistake the second landlord let me be without hot water for a week and couldn't get the oil filled because he was outta town and the boiler was locked so I couldn't even dump a few gallons in the tank to start the water heater back up by the time the state was ready to move on anything it was to late. My neighbor and I had even discussed a rent strike because we couldn't get anything done.
The family should file lawsuits against Cole, the County and the DA if he has failed to criminally charge Cole for this crime. He committed multiple crimes by filing a document full of fraud.
This is what I wanted to ask. They mentioned in a previous story they would look into it, I would like to know what ever came of it, or if they even bothered messing with it at all
Why didn't they charge him with fraud and any other crimes pertaining to all those law suits? How can he get away with everything he has done...especially to this one family? Where is their justice? Our justice system again protecting the criminals so called rights, starting with stealing a deceased woman's home and belongings!!! I don't understand how squatter's (home invasion/breaking and entering) have a right to live in someone's home without permission.
Well I'm going to keep it a 100% he's white the dam judge is incompetent the whole dam system is broken from the supreme courts to the maga maggots in the house of representatives trump and lil Kevin McCarthy should be bunk mates in prison.
thank you to KOAA5, the investigators and all who willing spending their valuable times to help clearing the false claim by this Jack 'crazy bastard' Cole. Thank you the judge and court then support the truth. Wishing you all health and keep on doing this great job..
How the hell is he out on parole after all that? It's clear that not only does he not regret his crimes, he revels in hurting other people, and even found a way to do it behind bars; keep him locked up and never let him file another lawsuit.
He's a sociopath and probably demon possessed. You cannot treat or rehabilitate people like that. The best thing for society is to imprison these people for life in insane asylums for the criminally ill, with no possibility for parole.
We are tired of bands of people exerting our rights from us, when they have a family member or a friend who has made it to the top in order to prevent us from getting benefits and rightful justice. Thank you for your video today in pointing out the brave continuation of one person forging toward truthful reporting of assets kept, and yet it was wrongfully stopped by the illegal actions of those wanting a life of someone who worked, gave, and was upended by identity thieves. They will be exposed, and remanded to their own ends. God knows, we find it's hard to know at times who is the good guy and who is not.
Assuming you return to *your* home and a squatter took care of your premises. Would it be allowed to put a sign on your ground "Trespasser will get *shot*!" and shoot him in your house? Why not? What would be the difference to a home invasion, where you are allowed to do this? Basically, it is a home invasion in your absence...
The squatters tell the cops that they are renters. When the home owner denies that, the squatter said they had a verbal agreement. As soon as the cops hear that, they walk away, it's a civil matter.
@@e-curb "When the home owner denies that, the squatter said they had a verbal agreement." - I call BS. If they managed to pay all the bills in their name in the meantime (electricity, ...) - then they could have a point. If your argument would work,, there would never be a criminal trespassing. Groups of ppl could conquer your house even in your presence and lie, that they have an actual verbal contract with you.
@@suchaluch5615 It does happen exactly that way. There was a case like this near me recently. A guy lived in one city and owned his house. Gets a job in another city and has to move. Clears out his old house and lists it for sale. Squatters moved in. Guy finds out and called the cops. Squatters claimed they were renters and showed the cops all their belongings in the house. How are the cops to know the squatters are lying?
It was also driving the deceased woman’s car. And what I would’ve done before any court order came down having him evicted, I would’ve filed a report of a stolen vehicle. He’s driving a vehicle that he has no permission to be in, claiming possession of it. He should’ve been arrested for Grandtheft auto.
OMG FINALLY!!!! This is nothing more than emotional harrassment. Home owners NEED MORE RIGHTS TO HOME OWNERSHIP. Squatters should have no rights at all AND NOT SHOWING ANY ACCOUNTABILITY FOR DAMAGES! This is just a NEW form of THIEF.
A sex offender out on parole? That's scary. Closely monitored means having to register quarterly, meet with his parole officer, and report any change of address. It doesn't prevent him from committing more assaults, which he no doubt already has.
Me. Ross needs to go to law school. He did a tremendous amount of work for that poor family. More than most journalists would have done. He helped them to finally be able to grieve and move on. Well done!! He would make a tremendous difference in the area of wrongful litigation. 👏🏻👍🏻
Please keep everyone in the court system and that guy away from any other state. To let him continue to wreak havoc in your state until you properly address this blatant criminal activity. How he can just get away with all these loop holes and continue to torture citizen's is unbelievable. If he continues to just get slaps on the wrist do you really think he'll change his behavior or just outright do something else to take it out on someone?
Squatters should not have any rights when it comes to legal issues with properties. All such cases should be immediately thrown out, but I would give these squatters a home. aka prison. There they can work off the damages done to people's homes.
Wait, how is he not prosecuted for falsifying court paperwork and officially filling it. Why is he out on parole with his only punishment being that he has to ask the court to file a lawsuit? Makes no sense. Most people would be immediately prosecuted for intentionally lying on court paperwork and falsifying the record that that paperwork was served.
I’d like to slap that smile off that judges face! And, no prison time for these two forgers? They just get to walk? What a joke this would be if it weren’t for a grieving family that lost their loved one! 😢
Another case of criminals getting away with taking advantage of anyone they can! It’s bad enough this family lost a loved one but then they’re the ones whose now got to legally stop him and that’s hard to do when you don’t even know he’s suing you!
The Fourth Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated three candidates for a District Court judgeship created by the retirement of the Hon. G. David Miller. The vacancy will occur on March 31, 2022. 😛 as per El Paso County Bar Assoc.
They need to file a restraining order preventing him from filing lawsuits against this family again just Incase he tries this crap when he gets out. (Cause the courts are stupid and let sex offenders out all the time) he seems just despicable enough to torment this family again when he gets out.
That poor squatter is so worried about where he will be sleeping and where his next meal will come from. And his feelings were hurt after he was evicted by that evil family who lost a sister so he feels that he is owed $400,000 in damages and won the judgement after that mean family failed to appear. Oh wait, what really happened is he stole their family members car after she died, moved into her home, destroyed the home, sued the family from the jail and won the judgement by default because the family was never served any papers since the person “serving” those papers were slip in jail so no real and actual papers were served to the family. And he demands over $400,000 in damages? How about this. Let’s give him the roof over his head and 3 meals per day courtesy of the Colorado Prison System! See, all worries can now vanish.
