Just jigged for squid on Ruston Way and caught four my first night. So much fun! Really tasty stir fried with lime, ginger, green onion and a bit of jalapeño. Easy to catch the squid bug. Nice catch!
Awesome man! Hope your pots and jigs are full. I was going to go today to maybe try squid but I'm making homemade raviolis to go with some crab I caught for Christmas dinner instead! Thanks for watching and tight lines!
Looks like a good trip ...have you ever gone out just off the stage pile or anywhere in a boat to jig squid?... im setting my boat up now with LED down lights this week to try next week ...I hear the squid get bigger in late Nov and Dec...
I've done it a couple times in my boat just before it got dark but never after. I metered them about 80ft deep. I used my non weight jigs tied in line with a 2oz cannon ball to get it down. Once down here it was doubles and triples. I should get some lights for my boat and try an afterdark trip.
@@ThePiscatorian360 ...I'll let you know when I go if ya want...im out of tacoma ..lights come tomorrow..👍 ..thanks for the info...done plenty of squid jigging just never from a boat...
I usually dont start going till late August. They come in closer to spawn in the end of Summer/Fall thru December. You might find some here in there year round though. Thanks for watching. Tight lines!
That's awesome! Great halibut bait!!! Will you eat these squid or use them for bait? Can't go wrong either way! All the best and tight lines my friend! Captain Zac
I do both, eat them and use them for bait. I will probably do a quick how to clean them video for people who haven't done it before. Thanks for watching!
So we got there around 7, kinda chatted it up for a while. Started fishing about 8 with some here and there, around 9 we were getting them almost every cast, done just after 10. 2 hours but really the majority of the action was in 1 hour.
@@ThePiscatorian360 thank you. I plan on going on monday to try my luck for the limit. I know the gated parking area they close them at a certain time. Where can we park?
A bunch of grass ( maybe eel grass) and debris came in with the tide change if you are referring to the stuff on or just below the surface. Thanks for watching!
