Squid Game Episode 1 Reaction- Red Light Green Light! 

You’re the first person who’s noticed that 067 initiated the fall with Gi-Hun. That’s amazing lol Gi-Hun wasn’t beating or trying to hurt her either, he was just angrily demanding his money back lol he’s not the type of person to ever hit a girl. 067 is definitely a fan favourite. She’s for sure my favourite of the series, along with Gi-Hun.

Pickpocket girl/067 IS an extremely compelling character, and I don't blame you for liking her. Don't get me wrong, she is BEAUTIFUL - which makes sense as she is a model - but that is in NO way the only reason to like her, nor do I think that is your sole reason at all. So excited to see your journey through this incredible show now!

What I really like about this series is that the characters aren't squeaky clean... they do a lot of questionable and underhanded stuff but you understand why they do it. Even though we see their ugly side we still hope for the best for them. Your feelings get so conflicted throughout the series haha. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes!

-As a Korean, it's funny to me how reactors get _shocked_ at the gun xD In Korea, civilians aren't allowed to have guns so it being real (let alone being found in a crane game) is highly unlikely. -The phrase they actually use for "Red Light, Green Light" literally translates to "The hibiscus flower bloomed~" (obviously changed for easier localization reasons). The title of this episode translates to "The Day the Hibiscus Flower Bloomed." this sounds more innocent (and therefore more menacing in this context) to me.

They never showed us the driver before Gi-Hun got in the car. The driver could have put the gas mask on after Gi-Hun entered the car.

"Torment someone when he can get away with it", more like trying to get his money back from a pick pocket

So glad you decided to react to this Eric it's such a well done show and all the actors are phenomenal, i especially loved Ho-yeon Jung who plays Sae-byeok as a South Korean model , now actress playing a North Korean defector so well was so impressive she is truly amazing and so is the entire cast, set and directing. the story it self is not the most complex with both very realistic and imaginative moments, however the characters and dynamics surely were deep and complex Can't wait for more reactions. 🌼🌿

You asked if we would also save Gi-hun by grabbing him in the game - I know I would want to, but I don't know if I actually *would* because my terror instinct might take over my body and freeze me. The fact that the guy did grab him, though, overcoming the terror - I fell in love with his character instantly for that. What an incredible way to tell you that this is someone whose care for others, even total strangers, is so fundamental that it overrides his own self-preservation instincts.

I've never heard anyone else talk about Liar Game. Did you know Japan made a live action drama of it back in 2007? Squid game definitely reminded me of it too.

I want to give you a heads up based on something I saw this morning on another reactor's page - because of how popular & affecting this show is, it has a lot of passionate fans, and some of them are jerks who seem to get a kick out of yelling at reactors for not reacting to Squid Game in the way that they would prefer. >.< (If you don't like someone's reaction, then just don't watch it, jeez.) I’d say most of the people in squid games are not in debt due to the economy or whatever. They’re in debt due to their own bad decisions. Whether it be gambling issues, embezzling money, etc. I don’t feel bad for those people because they made the decisions that for them into that situation. There are the ones that are in debt due to issues out of their control, and I do sympathize with them. 067 trying to raise money to get her mom out of North Korea and to get her bother from the orphanage. Ali wanting a better life for his family

Theres so many great Korean films and series tho! Other works by the guy who directed Parasite is amazing like Snowpiercer, Okja, Memories of Murder etc. Other great Korean stuff by other directors are Train to Busan, My name, Kingdom etc You should check out more Korean cinema if you want to in the future. They're so good! Especially Train to Busan because it was such an emotional film.

I used to watch your channel very regularly from late 2018, but as you have reacted to and finished the series’ that I have watched, I find myself here less. 14:44 - people in US are "suffering" only if they are too lazy or too picky about jobs (I'm talking about healthy people, obviously). I don't know how it is in Korea, but in US the main character can work 3 jobs instead of spending time at the tracks. There are tons of jobs in US, just people don't want to get dirty or feel the job is beneath them. But if you work 2-3 jobs, 7 days a week, you can definitely support yourself without resorting to suicidal games or murder.
