If they did that there would be issue with certain birds cuz some birds only go after what's openly available instead of thinking to push it even though they might be smart enough to do it they would have to be taught either by another bird or by a person
@@shonya2475 Hi 👋 I'm guessing 🤔 that the birds are very light weight and can't make the bird feeder spin like that and cause an issue. It looks like the squirrel learned how to get easy seeds to eat although a very fast and violent way 😳 to get it. And funny too! 😄
@@kaykiekid (ʘᴗʘ✿) hello. Different bird feeder work better for different types of birds. And you're right squirrels and chipmunks too heavy. I forget what that's called but just a slight tilt will cause it to spin and somewhat accelerate. But I have seen bigger birds try to eat out of bird feeders for smaller size birds. But not every bird would be smart enough to open a door on the food feeder. If they were to put the door on that one since the food falls out when it spin. Also I was trying to respond to the comment before or above you cuz they suggested putting a door latch on the bird feeder. But I accidentally wrote it under yours. But that hello and that wave made me so happy. (*˘︶˘*).｡*♡
What’s kept the squirrels out of my yard and away from my feeders? Just a simple plastic BB gun…. Harmless but it stings. I’ve only fired it 6 times in the last 2 years…. Haven’t seen a squirrel since maybe last spring. They know if they get on the bird feeder this they get a little military action…
He’ll quickly figure out all he has to do is knock it out of the feeder eat it on the ground and repeat the process until the feeders empty and in the meantime you will have no birds
Wow... This is a REALLY bad design! All they had to do was let it be mounted from the ground... put climbers on it that spin but don't affect the feeder up top. Then the birds can land on top and eat, but the squirrels can never climb up - easy peasy! 🤗 The only thing I don't get tho is... Why do people want to feed the birds and not the squirrels? 🤔 Squirrels don't sh*t all over your house & car.... birds do! So why are people so anxious to feed them?? 🤷♀(shrug)
If your gonna put food out there be KIND ENOUGH to let everyone enjoy it. How would you like to be thrown when someone tosses a steak in front of you everyday!!!! If you don't believe in KARMA ......At least practice beinging humble & kind.....
Just use the cheap Nature's Way 2 in 1. No battery required and have a weight-sensitive block seed ports plus 4 spring-loaded perches. Very straight forward with double securities. Works like a charm and very very cheap compare to this one. Feel so sorry and dizzy for this poor squirrel.
