I was here because of the auto oil pump on my minarelli. Do you think that this auto oil pump when it fails it makes the scooter suddenly cut out of power and stop? My scooter suddenly cut out while running for like 5 mins like a sudden loss of power and and after a few minutes will start and then cut out again after a few minutes. New piston, ring, and all. Just scared that i just ruined the new piston and i already hear some weird rubbing noise whenni re started it from cutting out.

+Preacherman _2008 It's the pin that puts the white plastic gear in motion thus drives the oil pump. It sticks out of the crankshaft just like that. There are 4 grooves in this plastic gear where this pin can go. It's your choice where you put it. The bleed screw at the end of the video makes sure, when screwed out, to remove any air bubbles in the oil line. Simply screw it out and let the oil flow out from there until there is no visible airbubbles coming out. Then put back the screw and tighten it. Normally this screw is tightened. The oil pump will fail when it tries to pump air so bleeding is important when oil is drained and changed, the oil line is emptied or the whole oil-system is changed.
