I'm in the same state as you and have a GA16DE B13 Sentra, it's slow and automatic but I enjoy the way it handles, extremely high mileage but good engine compression still. Would eventually like to do a manual swap on it, whenever the auto goes. It is hard to find these in junkyards here now. :(
Have you thought about picking up like a 2001 Sentra that came with an SR20DE? Would be a smoother looking vehicle but that's just my opinion. Good job on keeping the build going all this time!

You will also need an msd ignition timer. To run your vvl. It sets a specific RPM to engage your vvl There's a few forums that have this info I am currently building my sr20ve in a 1993 nissan nx 2000
@@JoseSantiago-hv3xm use the sr20 5 speed or 6 speed fwd lsd trans. And the axles for the sr20 model should work fine with the sr20ve. Everything else on the car shouldn't matter. It's a pretty simple swap. Minor adjustments/ wire and radiator hose re routing nothing serious. As long as you use all sr20de mounts I'll see if I can find that link to the forums I'm using.
Is this a VE-T (Turbo'd VE) or a true 20V SR20VET? I have a big job ahead of me and just getting started: 02 P11 and an X-Trail VET motor with engine harness and ECU. Not much info out there on VET wiring, trying to figure out what ECU to run and whether or not these can be converted to distributor using a regular DE distributor. Anyone know?
It’s a VE-T. I’m actually using a Roller Rocker bottom end. As far as I know tho you should be able to convert it to run on the dizzy, would just be the opposite process of us guys that want to eliminate the dizzy and run COP
I have an ‘87 B12 and I see SR20 blocks in them often. A lot of similarities to the original engine so with the appropriate research I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult
@@DreadfulGarage so you got the DE bottom end on that build? It makes sense to throw the lower compression bottom end with turbo. Is there any fab work to complete that
