SRB2 Mod Direct #6 Impressions 

I do think you really took it way too literally with the mod's name (The Compendium). Not everything is necessarily bound to have a "correct" title name, cause if we really went like that, then most of the mods we got would've not made sense title name wise. As for the compendium word, of course both the definitions you showed to us are correct, however the word could also mean a collection of various things that have been gathered together and presented as a group (mostly in a form of a book, album, etc etc). And guess what? The pack I presented is a collection of my maps I've done throughout the years, so it's a compendium after all, presented in a .pk3 file. To be fair though, I didn't specified it and kept it very vague, until I released the teaser individually and specified more stuff in the description. Note that I said TEASER instead of trailer since you said that there isn't much to talk about it other than looking eye candy. Hope this clarifies things. And fyi, those "different rings" are the weapons from the ringslinger mode and the mode itself includes 5 exclusive gametypes such as capture the flag, match, team match, tag and hide & seek (which I strongly suggest to check on the other gametypes as well rather than coop or single player). Those rings alone should've at least told you these are maps specifically made for ringslinger (at least what I've shown for now), basically combat oriented maps.

I just wanna pop in and let you know (I just found out yesterday) that Bionis Fields and Blue Mist Story are actually both out and have been for a while! They're just on Gamebanana instead of the MB, as are most Persona specific mods, it turns out! I'm liking Bionis so far, although I will say I was expecting more story, it's mostly exploration.

If you want more insight into Kou, all of the characters in StephCharacters are based on translating the gameplay of a specific game into SRB2's general gameplay, Skip's Hat Kid from A Hat in Time, Janna is Zero from Mega Man X, and I'm reasonably sure Kou is Peppino from Pizza Tower. The breakdancing taunt gives it away, really.

One of Dirfex’s abilities that emphasizes his nature of a tank with high endurance is that he generates his own shields. Not just with that charge attack, I mean like the shields you find in monitors. See, after he collects 10 rings, he generates a barrier of ice crystals around him that not only affect his other powers, but allow him to take one hit without losing any rings. If that sounds overpowered, the price to create a new shield to replace a lost one increases by 20 every time (10 -> 30 -> 50 and so on). And when an ice shield is broken, there’s a 30 second or so cooldown before the game checks your ring count to see if a new one can be made.

At 9:46, I can confirm that these characters are Echoes the Fennec & Abyss the Dragon Serpent from DrStephen’s Crystal Crash Adventures.

I haven't seen the SRB2 Direct trailers before, but I can't denied the SRB2 trailers!

Dejiko (Di Gi Charat) actually DOES have a Spindash, I mapped her eyebeams to the custom 1 button. She's also now released, as I'm the addon's creator and I just wanted to say if the Japanese voicelines are a bit too grating for you, I included an English voice option which you may or may not prefer. There's footage of it around YT now

4:28 those are ringslinger rings its one of the multiplayer modes where you shoot rings of different shapes, colors, and different effects so these maps are probably ringslinger maps.
