A long time ago, Zim invaded the wrong game! Follow me at: / motorroach / motorroach Songs used (all from the SRB2 2.1 OST): Old Jungle Theme Techno Hill Zone Act 1 Techno Hill Zone Act 2 Dark City Zone
@@Pinkio Unlockable characters did not exist then. But no, I kept my own shenanigans out of the single player campaign, unless it was a special mode (xmas), or a secret level.
I actually owned a physical disk copy of this demo version. When I was about 5 my Mom bought a gaming magazine and the demo was inside it as a bonus. So SRB2 was the first game I ever played, in fact it took 10 years until I found out Zim was not a Sonic character... Anyway good memories, Zims base on chaos mode was my Mom and my favorite place and we would play for hours every day.
@@T.T_CenrryTH Honestly despite the legal ambiguity of the situation. The magazine printed a bunch of disk versions to spread the game, barely anyone had internet at this time including me so personally I don't consider that a scam.
@@alieneko_nyo Like I said it was a bonus. Meaning the previous magazine entries costed the same as the one that had the demo disk. So that would technically make the Demo free. Anyway I was 5, and I cut all the sonic content out of the magazine with scissors and threw it away lol
@@alieneko_nyo I had the exact thing happen to me when I was little. The name of the magazine in my case was "Noroceii", in Romania. It came out twice a month and each one had a CD with all sorts of demo/shareware/random little games from all over the internet, one of which being SRB2. I'm really grateful for that magazine, it opened me up to a lot of cool things.
I hope Zim gets to be finished during the 2.2 era I mean, we've been getting the most high quality mods this update, and the next few could change everything (again)
so cool to see the long history of this game and all the easter eggs, I wasn't even in grade school when these "final demos" came out. going back and playing them and seeing this stuff is so cool. knuckles really does look weird though lol.
When i was a child i liked to play with this character alone in multiplayer maps, but i dont knew zim in that time, until this video i was always remembered that character and think "what was that and why his gone?". I was thinking that was just some underground mod that someone has installed in my game version. Thanks for solve my childhood enigma!!!
I used to think this was a Message Board add-on I downloaded back in the day along with other 2.0 releases at the time, guess he was always there and I only noticed once or twice. I'm liking these video formats by the way, it would be interesting if you could share some of your sprite skills and teaching people on how to improve their sprite working (with careful use of Anti-Alias for example) and maybe some in-depth fighting game sprites as well, those are really cool.
Very interesting when I voted for the option I thought you were gonna talk about a mod. I kinda wish we got the universe where he was finished and included. Imagine how different srb2 would be.
one thing I always wanted to know more about was grand eggship, dark city gets some meations here and there but eggship has very little info of it available
I remember when I was watching Invader Zim and got into that match level that happens in Zim's house. I can't describe how much that surprised me for the first time.
i always had an idea, how different 2.2 looked back when was it in indev state? could you make a video about 2.2 beta with the unused content, different ost's, and the indev versions of the 2.2 maps?
@@MotorRoach true enough. They were less so a unique secret, and more so a small footnote. Maybe something talking about some of the old placeholder sprites, like the Sonic Xtreme sprites, the glitched version of knuckles with miss matches sprites from tails, Sonic, and Xtreme sonic, and of course, ugly knuckles himself, and whatever happened to the original model.
