🇱🇰 SRI LANKA - I've never got sick while traveling in Sri Lanka but it happened. I stayed in a (dark and not so clean) hotel and got food poisoning so the following morning I decided to leave immediately and travel to Anuradhapura ny train. This is how it happened.

I am really sorry for this experience. Some hotels are still struggling with economic situation of the country. They still try to cost cutting and provide service as much as they can. I know this is not good for the county and tourism. But what to do? anyway really sorry for the experience you are facing. Hope you will enjoy beautiful and peaceful golden land ANURADHAPURA !

My advice would be to get maximum rest and sleep for a couple of days. See an excellent doctor and take the required medication if needed. Eat healthy: fresh fruits & vegetables, drink plenty of water. And also take a break from social media for a couple of days. Just empty your mind & relax. No rush. I am literally praying for your speedy recovery, my friend! You got this!

Before you get on three wheel,ask hotel staff how much would it charge to get from hotel to ur location. If price is fishy,ask another person.And always drink bottle water and make sure cap is sealed properly. Usually hotel foods are ok,if you really want to know how food is made,ask kitchen staff if you can watch it..most of time they will tell you yes.I am so sorry for ur inconvenience,I hope rest of ur stay goes good as you wish..enjoy❤

Dear eli....i m so sorry to hear that u were downwith food poisioning... Yes that aluthgama hotel is realy bad...there are some lunatics who just dont know how to do good tourism....i think this place is popular with local couples to spend for 2 3 hours.(i think u know what i meant)..these type of hotels prefer those kind of clients because they can sell the room 4 to 5 timeshare a day...they dont want tourists like you ....the decesion to leave next morning was the only option that u had.. Any way i hope u are fully recovered by now...looking forward to watch ur next episode in anuradhapura ....i was there on april 23 to 25 th.. we traveled on yaldewi train 1 st class .... Ok tc eli

Hi! I didn’t think about that hotel being “that kind” of hotel Lol. Their booking.com reviews were amazing also about the food so I don’t understand why my experience was opposite of what I’ve read. Maybe it was off season? I’ve seen only a couple there in the morning at breakfast and one man alone (foreigner) at night

Quello hotel dove lei stata..e' molto bello hotel e tutto bene, le persone anche collazione, pranzo e cena. 12 anni parto sri lanka sempre sto in questo hotel. Lei sta dicendo le cose asbagliato. Secondo me Qualcuno ha pagato tanti soldi per questa programma a dire bugie cosi. Lei vuole mangiare bene pagare poco ? Lei vuole una stanza come hotel 5 stelle ma lei voule pagare poco. Non e' giusto.. pagare poco le cose buone non puo ne anche in italia... dove puo andare si dico vada itiopia...auguro buon salute.

Sono uno dello Sri Lanka che conosce meglio gli Sri Lanka. Non parlare di hotel. questa signora è una signora dal cuore molto gentile che dona anche per le persone. potrebbe essere quando verrai potrebbe essere buono. Non parlarmi degli srilankesi. in srilanka servono due fatiche per imbottire il gabinetto. Questa signora è una brava signora che sappiamo di lei. in italia potresti pulire meglio perché l'amministrazione italiana. Non pensare che qui lavori per ottenere un buon stipendio come si ottiene per le pulizie in italia. non dire bugie .

I am a srilankan who knows better about srilankans. Do not tell about hotels. this lady is a very kind hearted lady who donate for people too. may be when you are coming it may be good. Do not tell me about srilankans. in srilanka need two labours to plush the toilet. This lady is a good lady we know about her. in italy you may clean better because Italian administration . Do not think here labours getting good salary as you get for cleaning in italy. do not tell lies .
