I'm Eli from Italy, I love telling stories and showing the life of real locals, away from the tourist spots.
In 1999 I volunteered in an orphanage in Kenya and it changed my life. I then worked in Albania with unprivileged girls and kids for 3 years. I went back to Italy and started teaching at primary school but I wasn't happy. So in 2010 I took the decision to follow my passion, not my pension. I first volunteered in Cambodia for a year, then opened a blog and travelled around South East Asia, China, Iran and Oman. My goal - my mission in life - has always been to inspire people to be brave, follow their passion, open their minds and discover the kindness of other people and cultures.
He was just explaining about the weather in Saudi Arabia, saying it hails sometimes. Then he said he’d been in KSA for 15 months and that he’s happy there. Afterwards he explained about the canyon. He did not mention Israel, I think the automatic translation make mistakes sometimes
Great vlog, very simple yet interesting, the way you explain and interact with people makes it even better "you're very friendly", thanks for showing Oman, hope you're having a good time here, subscribed and waiting for more content.
I would like to know if you work full time in Oman. My wife will be moving to Oman with me and she would love to know how's the work environment for females in arab countries. She is an airline pilot
I have been working in Oman for many years and I can say they are very respectful towards female workers. I’m pretty sure she will be happy in the Sultanate

I’m going to Oman to shoot videos about Khareef season and I was thinking of making a stop over in KSA on my way back but then I checked the temperatures 🥵😅anyway I’d like to come back soon to show more about Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

Two (2) savings accounts ? We live in materialistic WORLD. Giving food and accommodation, to a stranger, for FREE, is NOT part of the materialistic world. This will change, if you believe in the afterlife world. Muslim people especially, as all other religions who believe in the afterlife, SHOULD, have TWO (2) savings accounts. 1- A Savings account for this world, to provide for themselves and their families. 2- A Savings account for the afterlife world, good deeds that will result in going to paradise. When you ask for help in the Middle East, wether it is a person, a shopkeeper a taxi driver or anyone else. They will weigh in/think, wether to fill in, their this world savings account or their afterlife world savings account. This is how people think in the Middle East and throughout the Muslim world. Keep in mind, that NOT all Muslims, are practicing Muslims, but in general, the majority, if not ALL, will follow/practice, the 2 savings accounts rule. Sarmad AlOakray; is a civil engineer and a freelance investigative journalist.🇺🇸🇮🇶 That is WHY ? I write comments For the afterlife savings account, and that is WHY ? Muslims are soooo helpful, as all religions who believe in the afterlife SHOULD. Salam 🤲🤲🤲🤲🤲
We live in Oman as Permanent Residents. We live at the beach with a marina, golf course and huge swimming pool. I run two modest businesses here, pay no income tax, energy is about £10 a month and i fill up my Porsche for about £30. Life's good....
Life is much more peaceful in Oman than my own country (Italy). I guess you are in Al Sifah? I’m going there soon to check for an investment in real estate
We had just arrived in Jeddah and not very familiar with how things worked there. We used Uber later during the trip. I’ve heard there is another app for taxis, isn’t there?
@@toohappytobehomesick there are many many ride sharing apps here, Uber, Careem, Rekab, Ego, Bolt, Jenny. Each has it's own pricing, so I tend to check a few before ordering a ride. Generally, it's much more convenient and have better quality/cleaner cars than taxis or hustlers in the steet.
Saudi here, don't offer to pay in cash, say you only have card. They DO accept card, but since you told them you had cash, they obviously wanted the cash to avoid the transaction fees.

Jesus is the way the truth and the life period and I will pray for you, it’s amazing so many Muslims are turning to Jesus. You obviously didn’t do your research
I visited omanfrom Kenya in 1994 courtesy of the University of sultan Qaboos.I had an opportunity of meeting a large community of Swahili speakers.I was able to go to the mountains of Dhofar for a routine visit.Previously the dhofar mts was accessible by donkey. When the road was built donkeys became world
I can’t even imagine how was Dhofar that time! I arrived in Oman in 2012 for the first time but it was already pretty developed - although the south has still a long way to go (fortunately: i hope they won’t ruin its pristine environment). I know a lot of Swahili (Zanzibari) Omani in Muscat
December and January have the lowest temperatures (around 25 degrees Celsius in the north and a little warmer in the south) but I prefer October and November since there are less tourists so you can have a better time
