Sharad! My teacher! Thank you so much for such a detailed comment as always, if I'm slow to reply it's because I want to make sure I try to full digest what you've written first. Even if my brain can't fully understand it yet. What you’ve written is SO SO interesting. I do remember some from what I’ve heard Sadghuru says. I think I need to write out bits of what you’ve written, so I can process it more :) That being said, a few things that stuck out to me… " *the way you are, the same kind of being you attract* !" I COMPLETELY believe this to be true, I’ve always thought so in adult life, but never considered before it will also contribute to the children that enter your life. Wow, that’s a big responsibility. So, in what you’re saying the foetus exists based on the karma of the parents that made it, and then it must match the karmic memories of a soul for that soul to enter. Rather than the foetus and soul being combined at point of conception. Am I understanding that right? This is so interesting, and I think, I can only speak of the west, mothers and those around her often put so little thought into their mental state up until birth, they will work in stressful jobs right up until the child is born, and obviously that will have an impact on the child that is born. " *whatever final state is, it remains all time till the new birth* ”. It really makes sense what you said about the brain being the processing centre for our emotions and without that, after death the karmic tendencies do not have the power of processing and so remain in their final state. I’ve never heard that before - so interesting. I definitely believe that heaven and hell are mental states and not physical places or other realms. I hope I’ve understood everything you’ve said correctly. I will reread your comment a few times :D

@@spiritualreactions First of all, I would like to humbly tell that I am not any teacher, I am just 21, a boy only 🙏, too much younger than you for sure I assume! I am also learning, and I share my learnings with others and in turn learn from others too! And yes about the delay in replies, you have not made any delay, in my perspective it is a quick reply and based on how long my comment was and the subtleness of the topic in discussion, and the way you got it correctly and mentioned in reply, it is amazing ability. And the thing which is important is that you understand it well, not how quickly you reply, and your reply ensures that you understood it very well, exactly what I were trying to convey! You must be pretty resolved, logical and most importantly not dogmatised in thinking and open to new ideas and facts! Thanks for maintaining this curiousity, it is very hard to keep curiousity alive, specially when our education system is hell bent to destroy curiousity and train to follow commands! Anyway, let's come to the topic, the first point you mentioned, you got it exactly! The quality of relationship and the mental state of mother during pregnancy are very important factors determining the quality of new born! Even medical sciences have enough data to show that stress of mother can even cause lapse in the physical devlopment of foetus in womb! In our Indian traditions the pregnant ladies are more encouraged towards spirituality, read scriptures, listen the devotional songs, many women used to gather in house and sing devotional songs for new mother, it is essentially because people always want their child to be a step ahead, so they wanted a being of higher consciousness to be born to them! But, nowadays these traditions are rarity as all are being Westernised and have to be in rush! When I talk about the quality of relationship, it is basically how much devoted the father and mother are for each other, obviously you don't expect that in sleepover trends like one night stand, drug addictions etc. These unconscious behaviours and teen pregnancies affect the quality of child even in pure physical terms too. These trends are rampant in West, but now coming in India too, still in small scale but the speed of this development is alarming. Specially the memory of mother affects much more, because it is she who carries the unborn in her body for nine months, that's why atleast women need to be more conscious, but nowadays repeating the mistakes of men is trademark of feminism, I mean what to say for that! Even science makes it clear that Alcohol is more toxic for female body than male body even in terms of physical health. Most people are parents by accident! Anyway, I am sounding like a moralist, even though I am not, so let it go! Now, as long as the question wether the subtle body (more rational term as per me) enters during fertilisation (or just after it), we don't have any direct evidence or any scientific data on when does that happen! But, if you ask me, my inference is that since the memory body is well sophisticated memory, it is highly unlikely for it to occupy just a cell, it should take time for nervous system and brain of the child to get devloped to a certain degree for it being able to house a sophisticated memory system! If you ask about Yogic data points and scriptures, they tell the time for this event is mostly likely around the completion of three months of pregnancy, and I think till that time brain and nervous system is pretty devloped, so this is somewhat most rational point in any scripture I found out till now! Obviously, it is not exact, it is on average, different cases should have different timings based on particular conditions, more exact inference can be made based on the data of embryology, so that will be my suggestion! Your second point about the heaven and hell being mental states, you are absolutely right, I wanted to convey the same! Based on how fully and how happily we live, our quality of life is exactly what decides quality of afterlife! In Hindu beliefs it is same, the heaven and hell are not permanent! In Gita it is clearly mentioned that one goes to heaven (in actuality the heavenly state, the state of blissfulness) and after one's good Karma is spent, one returns back to this world (that is actually after the intensity comes below a certain point, one is born again), similarly if one goes to hell, after one's bad Karma is finished he returns back again to this world! So, heaven and hell is not permanent in Dharmic framework, and heaven is not the highest you can achieve! The highest value is "Moksha(मोक्ष)", breaking free from this cycle of birth and death, that is completely untying all Karmic bonds and be merged in supreme consciousness, be one with the universal consciousness! @Sharad Tiwari I’m glad it came across that I am really reading your comments :) as for being not dogmatised/open to new ideas etc, I would have to thank my upbringing, which has been very spiritually open and allowed me some basic level of understanding on these matters, but I *mean basic :) “our education system is hell bent to destroy curiousity and train to* follow commands” SO TRUE this is largely why I have chosen to Homeschool my children. I think it’s true what you say that women need to be more conscious of themselves during pregnancy AND they also need to be better supported. “repeating the mistakes of men is trademark of feminism” I’ve never heard it said like that before, it's true, I suppose, to act like/do the same things as men is not something we should always be aspiring to. It makes sense to me that the memory body would enter at around that stage, so so interesting and I wish I had had more of that knowledge when I was pregnant. Thank you for teaching me about the idea of Moksha. Would definitely love to learn more about that concept. Your knowledge on these things astounds me!! You must have been studying this all your life?
