Omit the electrical tape for this application, it just turns into gum and displaces in no time. Instead use some epoxy made for the material you are using, you should be able to spread it thin enough around the part to make it work.
If only the SRT had AWD. That would have made it the Import killer it was made to be. I still love the original Neon. It was just a simple honest car. And it was amazing for what it was.

Not sure IF that part will fit 2013 DDart but for .43USD it might be worth the risk,, SINCE FCA has forbidden the dealer to sell just the bushing $5 but makes the DDart owners pay 385$ plus tax & ?? HOW?? much LABOUR to replace the whole cable kit ... The Bushing IS the ONLY defective part& THATS ALL YOU get under recall, but IF NOT get out yer wallet to pay up & bend Over ... I SAY NO THANKS DODGE.. fix it sell it & say goodbye to FCA corp greed & any more Chrysler products which i have owned for over 30 yrs..
I have a dodge neon 2001 see it will not go in reverse, I was in the car, I put the car park I went to go in reverse and it lunged forward, it jumped out of gear. It will go in drive, What can this be? Is it the gear shift.
mcsoundz lol why because someone came up with a temporary fix to a missing shifter bushing? seems like logical thinking of someone who must have never been poor. privileged people will never understand the real struggle. my ass has kids and a wife and we live in shit kansas so pay sucks, everything is over priced and guess what it is still working great to this day :). thanks for your input on the whole situation booger bushings are a day out in shipping I just had to get spare money so I could order them and I daily my car lol the reason SRT 4 get bad rep are the idiots who used to own them shit slammed (JDM SLAMMED NON FUNCTIONAL) Civics and accords get them slam them and hold everything together with duct tape and then flare the fenders and fuck it up to where they rust. Then when they break them and then part them out. I have turned this car around it had a blown engine with a crap tune and didn't run when I got it. now its pulling hard working great and hasn't left me stranded once.
