Considering yesterday someone made HUNDREDS of killer tomatoes on vulture, I really advise security to keep an eye on botanists who are mass producing tomatoes
I was also there. FIrst time coming across them, and I had no idea, other than being a tomato, what they were. They just kind of existed while I did science things, when I found them anway, iirc.
Created a Tomatoloose on Salamander Yesterday and learned a few things: - The Killer Tomatos will germinate on their own given enough time, and if you're not nearby they attack everyone - You can crossbreed cocoa onto them to make a 6-yield killer tomato, producing 6 per harvest, I "Think" potency also has a small effect on their size but unsure. - We had glowing killer tomatos at one point, they definitely retain plant mutations. Wonder if it counts with chemical or gas mutations. - Their AI is a bit fudgy, when they were accidentally unleashed after a while some of them began attacking us. - Sec views the seeds as contraband, which is fair.
@@Liltenhead Slip is definitely the most evil one for them to have. It would be funny if the plant Sapience mutation let the killer tomatos become ghost roles, but i can't imagine that would be default behaviour.
Meanwhile, I'm sitting around all pissed off because I keep getting blood tomatoes when I WANT blue tomatoes for their space lube, as a gift to the clown.
On goob station we had someone get a crate, get a blood red and an L6, and also make a giant army of tomatoes. Best we could think of is using lasers to shoot them down
few tips from botanist main: 1) you can use even 25 - 50 mutagen on plants. You combat dying gene with swabbing (yes you can swab away dying gene) or by using Phalanximine (chemical that remove dying gene). I suggest using 25 for mutations 2) to regenerate plant health: nutriment and vitamins (not super effective but easy to get as botanist) cryoxadone (huge boost to health but reduce grow if used on plant with low grow the seed will pop ) 3) cocoa have base yield of six so i would guess making army would be easier with that on the side note i wonder what happens when killer tomatoes plants will have autoharvest
Tip. When you get killer tomatos DONT DO IT AS AN HEAD REV OR REV YOU WILL KILL YOUR COMMRADS unless your an non-rev. Airght heres an tip if you stay in an 5 by 5 tile radius of the killer tomatos in the tray they will whitelist you and other people. They bleed tomato sauce it maybe be useless if you have no-slips.
I don’t know when it was changed, possibly when they added in the alliance code stuff to mobs like a year ago, but they used to attack everyone (including those who harvested) This made them balanced as simply harvesting them could be dangerous and doing it in mass could get ya instacrit. At most you could harvest a few, let them chase you out of botany but get hit a bit doing so, and then return to botany to continue slowly trickling them out, becoming more dangerous to continue as you do so. I guess this can just be summarized as “these are all volunteers and that sure as hell means none of them know a lick about game design”
1: good movies, atleast to me(the killer tomato movies which this is based off of) 2: didn't know the "Kilroy" graphic was in this game (that little drawn on the ground person peaking over a ledge in chalk that's been above a growing thing top right of the room the entire time) which is for some reason funny to me.
In ss13 killer tomatoes attack everyone that isnt podperson species. This really should be species locked. And in ss13 i would add varrious things to the killer template. So either i could use it as small snack for healing and combat buffs. Or a trowable/injection slip mine with lethal chems. Since tg killers only hardcrit, and you can outrun them. So trowing them with a slippery content, and toxins that finish the job arr vital. If able always try to add more then one use/delivery/utility to combat veggies. It takes mote time but dear lord is it layering murder potentail. And your odds of walking out alive. I once managed to become a ber vomiting podperson with the perfect killer setup. Granted both mobs will kill eachother, but being able to generate passive bee cloud you are friendly to alongside the killers. Grim reaper manifested as a druid that day. You know your unstopable when the 3th wave of ert has a new tactic. explosively dismantle the station one section at the time. So your creations have a short spaced lifespan. Never seen so many erts get murdered, barely had to lift green thumb either until the end. Botany is tottaly ballanced.
In the most recent lizard round botan maked an army of these, security was on full war mode having to resist 3 hordes of it, i did no catch much of the action since i was an atmosian mostly chilling with the others
Do blood tomatos inject chemichals when they bite people? cause that could be neat if true, also are they compatible with another plant to produce like 6 of them per harvest like coca?
I am hoping there are some fun recipes added with their meat, i was slightly disappointed as chef when i wasnt even able to cook the meat at all and it just taated terrible no matter what
Would be too dangerous since they attack anyone. Maybe if you were like the last one left but I don't see how you can reasonably pull that off without killing the crew too.
Hmm, well, I was not expecting a real killer tomato get ported, thought they said they don't like it in wizden. And I am kinda not sure if this can make security or HOP actually start caring about what botanist is doing, or it would just be another plant that don't help increasing the interation botany has with other department after few days later.
