I gave a really good Moth Doctor the CMO hat off the top of my head once because he was hard carrying the medbay, he was like "Oh shit!", put it on for one second, then ate it right in front of me I'm never giving clothing to moths again
(ss13 player) as a moth main i love bullying humans and such when grav goes out once had a sec get mad at me for doing this i kept getting him stuck and needing to throw stuff which i would hide great fun. i wonder if they will add the -1 to flash protection like in 13
Yay! I love Moth people! They're the most interesting race for me personally. I know devs said that people only want Moths because they're horny, but when you have Slime Girls and Lizard Femboys wearing stockings, it's just hypocritical.
Omfg this. Frontier has felenids and canids and no one does anything weird, so hearing the devs say they dont want cat or dog people in the official servers cuz "furry horny bad" is hypocritical when they have lizards, spiders, and moths which are all furries already when you think of it.
I wish they added patches to the chem master, allowing people to apply medicine through touch instead of ingestion. But, yeah, the pills are not such a big downside. Also, if we're basing this completely on SS13 moths, they won't get an accent but they will get an extra language, if that feature ever gets added into 14.
their downsides seemingly massively outweigh the benefit of drag racing in 0g because: -cold damage is pretty rare compared to heat, but whatever -forced to carry a liquid to dissolve pills -take damage often seen in combat (pierce, slash) extremely fast, and unlike arachnids, you can only use speed to balance that in a pretty niche scenario, so you're gonna get dropped by enemies unless you try to sabo grav beforehand -poison modifier means rad sources will fry you Arachnids have a lot of downsides but also have a lot of upsides to counteract this. I'd hope moths get a buff in terms of balance, either adding something about space flight (increased gravity radius when near shuttles/stations? or a slow full space flight capability without the need for a jetpack, or knocking off that brutal pierce 1.15x multiplier
This game is not about stats. You are moth? Fine. Learn to play and act fast and fragile, it is part of your character. You do not want your presious wings damaged, you find low gravity a joy to be in. Probably not agressive. If you want combat - play other spieces.
@@Liltenhead does gravity really get turned off that much, also what if… gravity just doesn’t shut off the whole round. You would just he playing as shittier human who can only eat cloth, that alone sucks since your food source actively annoys people when you take it. Imagine you’re trying to get some clothes you like but a moth eats it all, however i dont actually play this server and just like watching your videos so i dont actually care that much.
@@jigalooo2331 I'd say gravity gets turned off once a shift on average. Some rounds its off for 10 minutes or more. I expect to see cargo ordering cloth crates and hope botany can grow cloth soon.
Is it a movement multiplier or additive movement. Cus if additive it will work like on some other servers where they can just self propel in the space.
The only thing I would add to moths to make them better is for them to be able to move ins space without a jetpack, they would be the perfect space walker Edit: I take back what I said, it's nice to have restrictions
@@captainchapstick5368 I said absolutely nothing about breathing in space. You cannot move in space without a jetpack because WINGS RELY ON PUSHING OFF AN ATMOSPHERE
my /tg/ experience has made me put them on the same level as felinds and liggers, if you couldn't tell from the in house slurs brought to you by 4chan, it isn't high. i will admit, there ALOT more interesting here as they have some unique gameplay and challenges, so i guess ill bring em up a notch (if felinds somehow get in they will not be getting any kindness)
