Elegant is really brutal, but honestly, Roy feels more broken. They're both hype af though. Elegant is some kind of beast. I would be shitting myself if I had to fight him.

@@RangoTheMercenary DLC isn’t overpowered, they’re just very different because they’re crossover, which means that some stuff will feel jarring with the usual smash stuff and people immediately jump to the conclusion that it’s broken, even though most of it is really strong, since the design philosophy is at it’s core different the same problems make them worse in other aspects, Kazuya is the best example of this and Joker the worst, sine he’s just really strong

Exactly this!! Because of the pressure of Roy the routine of a brawler like Luigi shows. So you can just predict/react after forcing Luigi to airdodge, zair or short hop nair in neutral so many times you see it coming and react.

Ever since I've first saw kiyarash gameplay, it was very distinct how the two played. Even watch kiya vs chunkykong (rylan) and hungrybox was like "0 to DEATH WITHOUT GRAB" and he nonchalantly said "you're surprised?" Because he does it quite frequently and consistently off fair.

Roy is easier for Luigi to both combo and edge guard but he is hard to keep out and hard to escape his pressure.

It's probably Roy favor because Roy is just Roy and his weaknesses are outweighed by the strengths... just Luigi is cringe so anything can happen.

@@jasonlobo2350 no, the name tags above the characters aren't just for show, you can use it to save changes to your controller so you don't have to button remap everytime you play in tournament. Alot people change the L button to jump instead of shield, change the c stick to tilt attack instead of smash attack, turn rumble off, etc. The fact that elegant has no nametag above his Luigi (as opposed to the "BETRAYAL" above Kola's Roy) means that he doesn't button remap, which is uncommon at this level of play

@@BillytheEntertainer im refering to how the control scheme is the same for every smash game lol so using no tag its basically how the game has been played since 64 and know on últimate you can turn off tap out of default controls so its even better

Elegant makes it look that way. That's how quick he is. It's basically zground without the grab. Luigi is weird af.

In general yes but I like Kola's playstyle with him. He's aggressive but also fundamental. Check out ESAM, Leo, And Marrs breakdown of their matches against him. He's serious pressure

@Zachary H I thought they were both pretty hype personally. Luigi has tools that can make him a nightmare of patience to battle or even watch, but Elegant is particularly flashy and intelligent with him. He doesn't just spam. He does things no other Luigi player does. Meanwhile Kola is so amazingly talented with movement. He moves impossibly fast with Roy, and Roy is the sort of character that needs it. He's not like other Swordies who can camp or bait their opponents. Roy has to work for those combos and then pull them off. I know people who think Luigi makes them want to vomit, but I personally appreciate both play styles. It's hard to imagine a game like this exists where characters like Luigi and Roy can go toe to toe with different tools and movements and still seem like a fair fight. I can think of maybe one actually. This matchup reminds me of Puyo Puyo Tetris. The Roy player is at a slight disadvantage, particularly because combos and punishes come easily to Luigi, but if Roy play perfectly, there is little the Luigi player can do except pray they mess up.
