I originally uploaded this just after highschool when youtube was still super new and mostly just an easy repository to save or share videos between friends. Can't believe it's still here!
I just noticed now how perfect everything here is. Hands down the best directed scene. The transition at around 0:43 shows how much Trunks looks like his father more than any other scene.
1:54 That glare is based on Bruce Lee, according to Toriyama; _His eyes from right after he transforms for the first time and looks up at Freeza… I based those off of Bruce Lee. Since that look of his where he glares right at you is paralyzing! That’s what I wanted to do in the Freeza arc… Once Goku gave that look, as far as I was concerned the story arc was over. I was like, “They have to start fighting now? What a pain!” My goal was just to get to that look. But when it actually came time to draw it, it turned out a bit different than how I had imagined it. I still thought Bruce Lee looked a lot cooler. (laughs)_ *Enter the Dragon* and Bruce Lee were formative influences on Toriyama and the DB Franchise. In fact, you can credit Bruce Lee and his English-dubbed films for bringing all forms of East Asian entertainment media to a global audience, including the great influence he and his films have on modern anime.
there was another similar video of trunks vs frieza with over 1 million views, uploaded about 13 years ago but can no longer be found, how is it possible that youtube has been deleted after all these years?😭
Yes try Limewire dude and try either 'Monolith' the name of the artist and 'Battle Power Infinity' as the song and it should come up then download the song and enjoy. Regards, SS
@Blaze187Killa but it's clearly chinese subtitles considering the fact it's written in the chinese language. Also you can tell by the way the subtitles have crappily been superimposed on. This is clearly not an offical sub.
@USArmySupremeGeneral Technically this predates the "funkified" Guile theme from Super SF2 which didn't come out until Fall 1993. This ep aired December 11, 1991 in Japan.
yeah it's official i'm gonna make a gif image file from when trunks was screamin at 0:11 to 0:16, i aslo really enjoyed the episode when he went back to the future and killed the androids with ease, classic
It is too. When Trunks first appears, instead of saying “So you must be Frieza.” He says “I’m here to kill you all.” Probably the best sub moment in DBZ.
sorry I've never actually seen the original Japanese version of the show so I'm not clear on what it looked like, but is this the original version of the scene, or is this from a later version? and who exactly was the composer for dragon Ball Z? I've been reading about this song and how it got Kenji Yamamoto fired, but other sources say shunsuke kikuchi was the composer. so which parts exactly where Yamamoto and which parts were kikuchi?
@AegisNeglector It's comments like these which make me almost regret my opinion about Dragonball Z's continuation past the Freiza saga. Almost.. This scene doesnt make up for what could've ended short and sweet.
this japanese theme of trunks .battle point unlimited tells what the sayin race are actually are Nd even tells the dark time of future of trunks was it mainly tells how the situtation of his future was soo horrible Nd even tells how the androids were soo power full the evil me merciless monsters!!! ,Nd even the pain of trunks how he need to see the death of master gohan, his best friend Nd even like his Elder brother!!, the dark eera of future whom he wants to tell goku about the horrible time the darkest erra from his future!!!
your incredibly desperate to defend everything against this scene, even though plagiarism doesnt stop it from being the best transformation in dbz@@spectraphantom6597
