I never like or comment on videos, but this video was so helpful and well made that I just had to! You've earned yourself a new subscriber as I just know that you've got more quality content such as this on your channel!
This video was so helpful. I’m getting a 125cc tomorrow and I just watch another video and it make me scared but this has made me confident thank you so much
Thank you! I just got a 2013 piranha 125 and I took it out to a field. I tried for 2 hours and couldn't get it to go into 1st gear (keep in mind this is my first bike), the one time I did get it to go, it popped a wheelie and almost threw me off. Thanks for this video, your a life saver!
I am a beginner rider but I have this bike thanks for giving me some pointer's on how to drive the thing you gave me a little more confidence to not be scared of the bike..
Some ssr 125s like mine have 3 choke settings on, middle and off. When its dead cold choke is all the way on(up Direction), after it starts up immediately move the choke down to the half setting then after 15 seconds move it to off. Also has 3 settings for fuel off on and reserve.
Max speed media i just got a 2014 pit bike for my birthday and i have experience on regular dirt bikes so this is an easy fun toy to mess around with indeed
This will be useful when i get one of these bikes in about 2 weeks. I was never into this stuff until my neighbors got Honda's. I don't want to spend a lot of money so i looked up some pit bikes and found out that these little bikes are a ton of fun. Also chi town all the way.
@ Austin James I got the Black and White helmet from motorcycle superstore. It's a Vega Viper Jungle. It has some sick graphics and was amazingly on $40 !! They don;t have that model anymore but they do have some other cool ones to choose from.
Seat height is 29" . It's not too small for you. My kids are 5'11 and they ride them. If you want more info about the specs, look here: www.ssrmotorsports.com/store/pitbike/sr125.htm
Sean Logan It may be a bad CDI unfortunately. If you have fuel and even spark the CDI may be bad if it won't kick over. It's the little black box under the gas tank with a connector plug on it.
hey thanks, yea im getting a spark, but it turns out the fuel i was using had oil mixed in and i grabbed the wrong can (my dumbass), So i guess im gonna be cleaning my carb today haha, but thanks, i was also afraid either a fouled plug or faulty timing! thanks!
A good thing to practice is putting the bike into first gear and let go of the clutch slowly and then the bike will start rolling and you should practice just walking the bike like that. When you are ready then slowly pull the throttle while the clutch is out. IF YOU ARE DOING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME THEN DONT HOLD THE THROTTLE WHILE WALKING THE BIKE BECAUSE FIRST TIMERS MIGHT PULL A WHEELIE
This was the best explaining video and on the left side of the shift do i press down the shift couple of times to be on first gear or it restarts the shift to be in 1st gear again when i ride my dirt bike again good video
Hey this is a very good tutorial. Thanks. Because im about to buy my very first dirt bike. and i like this one alot. Is this a good first bike for a 40 year dad? haha.
Don't worry they are Chinese great great quality👍👍 Sarcasm my honda xr80 started 1st kick every time in 22 degrees No hate on the vid just don't like these Chinese bikes Nice vid tho👍👍
What are pit bike? is that what they're called or is that the manufacturer? if not.. what company makes Pit bikes? sorry I know nothing bout these mini bikes but I'd love to ride one day.
Yes also if you are holding the clutch you can rev really high and the let go of it, this is how you rev match. It is better for your bike and also *faster*
just wondering I'm probably gonna sound like an idiot but do you down shift on the corners and let go of the accelerator? and if your coming to a stop in third gear do you down shift all the way down to first?
+Jaiden Bradford Downshift before entering a corner and during a normal stop you can downshift as you decelerate to first gear. In a quick or panic stop you would pull in the clutch and apply both front and rear brakes. Once stopped you would then put the bike in first gear.
Im about to get a 140cc pit bike and I heard a lot of riders talking about switching gears without the clutch and only by letting of the throttle and apparently that's one way riders switch gears on a dirt bike. Would it be just as normal on a 140cc pitbike ? I was thinking because it's smaller and stuff maybe the gear box isn't as durable and wouldn't last too long if you switch gears only by letting off the throttle and using no clutch.
I have a similar bike just semi auto and was wondering if when I shift do I just reach the top speed in 1st gear then let off the throttle then shift up (my bike is 4 up)
Where did you buy yours from? I'm looking for the best price, but it seems like everyone sells them for the same price. Also, if I want to ride on local trails, should I get the 125TR edition, or will the normal 125 work fine?
I've never ridden one before and when I shifted into second the bike jumped up and I fell off and got cut up pretty bad because I live on a gravel road lol
Do you have to pull in the clutch when you want to brake, because if i watch people doing wheelie on other bikes they never oull in the clutch but idk about the ssr.
