Hello, traveling through the houses in time was brilliant,1985 was right for the year, especially the cups and the tape player.the TV is so cool.

I remember they used to have a beta max player there - it was huge. I didn’t know why they took it away. Thanks so much, Steven! X

As an American, it is odd to see a washing machine in your kitchen, let alone a bathtub! We usually have a "Utility Room" or a dedicated closet area for the washer and dryer. These last three vlogs about St. Fagans are great. Thanks for filming and editing them for us.

Aww I’d LOVE to have a dedicated laundry room! I associate that with wealth here. It’s normally just part of the kitchen here. Thanks so much for the appreciation of the editing. I appreciate the appreciation! 😆

Oh yeah me and Izzy used to watch all of those! I haven’t noticed any coming out lately. Have you? I don’t really watch telly much though - mainly just RU-vid and the odd bit of catch up and Netflix with IB and/or Isabel.

Thanks Imogen..it's really refreshed my memory..went a while ago.. hearing you talk about the open fire brought back lovely memories..💐we went to a holiday cottage a few years ago in Hebdon Bridge and the old unused bath was in the kitchen..🤭

Aw lovely! There's something very calming and therapeutic about watching a real fire in a grate. It's kind of mesmerizing. That's interesting to hear about the old bath in the kitchen! I'll be interested to see what other people write about that, too. Thanks so much for watching, Jan. x

Thanks guys! These are my favourite videos to make but they sadly don’t do as well as my more every day content. It’s a shame. I’m hoping these will eventually out perform by coming up in search over the years. Fingers crossed!! RU-vid is a tricky game to navigate! 😆

Oh boy that was grand! I loved the explanations of the posture board, left-hand gadget, etc. It really is stepping back into time. The 80s stuff looked very dated to me. Things have changed. But we can go to thrift shops and find a lot of those items still. I'm keen on 40s and 50s things. The washing-up stations in the bedroom remind us of how far we've come.

I think the item in the 1855 house you couldn't remember what it was, is a candle snuffer.

Im really loving the videos because I really do like social history. So interesting. Just occurred to me that Imo is short for Imogen. I once asked a group of ladies what name they would choose for themselves if they could change their Christian name. I chose Imogen. You are the first "Imogen" I have ever "met". TFS 😊

I hated seeing those finger locks for those left handed children. God made their brains to work left handed. Poor kids. I know I've heard lots of stories
@PlanetImo
@PlanetImo 2 года назад
It happened to my very own Grandma, actually. She was born a leftie and 'cured' of it. What insanity was that? Wow. She grew up in England - presumably London, as far as I know. Born 1910.
@cat-annechats5362
@cat-annechats5362 2 года назад
@@PlanetImo I've heard stories too. My grandmother was amidextrous, and of course made to use her right hand to write with. She did about everything else with left hand. My dad was left hand. Wish I could ask him about it. I have a slew of cousins left handed, and a son in law. I seriously think that was cruelty back in the day.
