That first game was a thing of beauty.

I always enjoyed this tank. You have to be kinda cheeky when you play it and the gun is fabulous. It really prepares you for the play style of the stb1

I skipped it awhile ago, went ahead and bought it last night since I already had a crew. Set it up to play more passive since it's paper. Gun seemed nice, mm was decent, took me five games to get an Ace Tanker. Support, Snipe, go aggressive mid to late game. Worked for me😊

Yep, really nice tank. I was hesitant to play with it once I got to it, but such a surprise, especially peak and shoot, where it is amazing! Same with the Type 61, is actually really easy to play with, even with the small gun, that has insane DMP😊 a really nice line overall!!

First game was a true carry, great team work with the light tank

Started playing with it and the grind is quite painful. I can see the potential, but it will take time to get there.

Your EBR in that 2nd battle, top scout running around friendly base for most of the game. That’s the type of scouts I get in my battles 😂

I liked it so much, that I purchased STA-2 a bit later, STA-2 has a bit worse gun but still very enjoyable tank for me. Edit: It's funny when Skill names this tank STA-1, STB, STA-2 and Type xd

Its an uptiered Sherman Easy 8. That alone makes it pretty damn good.

I think people hate this tank because of the unusualy horrible stock experience. At stock this tank has 165 pen with standards, 850 shell velocity, 1830 dpm, not very good gun handling and meh viewrange. You can instantly go for the middle gun and waste 19k on it to have penetration, but everything else remains the same. For the top gun you need to research the turret for 17k, which gives you 10% dpm by the way and fixes your viewrange to OK, and then you can go for the gun for 41k xp. After that tracks still help a little on moving dispersion, but the previous 58k xp is the source of the bad expression. :)

I love this tank with all my heart....but the gun trolls me so. This tank doesn't have DPM, it has DPS - damage per second haha It just sucks that you work so hard, play so well, and end of the game you have...1800 damage.

I really wish WG would do something about 2-3min games nowadays, it's not fun. I really enjoy the longer 10-15min games more personally.

This tank is hard for me to play but I am enjoying it. I hate it cuz I have a lot of bad games but some games things just click in my head and I make good decisions lol and the gun wasn't nice until I got snapshot and smooth ride on my tank but I think that's allot of tanks

I have the Sta-1 still stock. difficult tank to play, and should be played as a second line tank imo.. I still enjoy it though, like my other paper-armor tanks. 😂

I love Chi Reeeeee, STA-1 was good and STA-2 is beautiful. But the real gem is the Type 61. My favorite tier IX tank.

The camo rating is absurdly bad. Heavy tank bad. Look it up. Horrible. I struggled with it until I looked into it. Assume you will get away with nothing and it gets playable. On wide open maps, I just figured it had the gun to be a decent TD until things thinned out a bit. Worked well.

I wise CC once said "If you cannot make the tank work, it's you, not the tank" and that continually applied on all tanks he played :D

This tank is bad, but ofc Skill can make any tank work. Can't spot, not a fast tank, no armor and gun isn't that good.

Another thing is the shots on the move. The hidden stats are good almost no aiming needed at least for sta2 wich is similiair

Yo guys can anyone tell me where I can get the mod which used to be called better reticle mod pack from jack_aka or smith like that. I mean the one where the aiming circle is just smaller if yk what I mean. I would like to get it again but this one I mentioned above hasn’t been updated since nov 2023 or smith. So I was wondering if maybe there is a new one or there is another problem.

My playstyle are more likely paper tanks but very versatile.. this one is my fav and sometimes i say the most armored one 1 played... the thing is autoaiming at this tank will automatically shoots its tiny manlet or gun because of the low profile the tank has.. i always smiled like a dog whenever i bounce 15cm gun like grille and other lazy auto aiming guys its funny because its so casual i can shoot back 3-5 times before i died

this tak sucks as stock and 75% crew. But not as mutch like some other tanks like Amx65T. I have now it fully upgraded and I enjoy to play this tank. Still Amx 65T is my nemesis

i think sta is the least enjoyable in this line tier 7 have nice magazine tier 9 is flexible same as tier 10 but tier 8 is just too basic

I hate this tank. Really do. Or, to be more precise, tank is fine, movement, traverse speed, but that crooked gun makes my game painfull. I suffer the same way like when I were exping TVP VTU or Indian P. Hate that tanks. Not to mention that today i have like 20% WR after 3hrs of playtime. Even exping SWE TDs during Christmas was full of joy compared to new years games. Dont't know if it's just me, but today avg WGRating of my teams was like 3000-5000 with 25k games overall, enemy teams was like 5-8k ratings, with just too many over 10k players. I'm not good player, have like 1100-1700 avg dmg on my t8 MTs, but with STA-1 I cannot go over 1k *sadpanda* and it's not because I fire 5 shots in whole game. It's like about 20 shots fired, half of them are not able to even hit standing target. I'll try to switch vents to improved aiming, but.

Mediocre tank at best and very un-fun to play. Can't recommend unless you like playing third wheel.
