Could have been 20 minutes shorter if just the fertilizer was covered.

I understand your point of view. A lot of people do like the featuring of the reel mower in addition to how and what to feed the lawn. Thank you for the feedback and appreciate the support.

I am somewhat near you, I put in Tif Tuf sod on Nov 1 st last year, no fertilizer but organics so far, full sun from 12PM to 6 PM. So far I have not even had to mow it. just seed heads, it gets good watering. My two extra rolls were put on a piece of cardboard and put off to the side of the lawn is thriving, more sun more growth.

Hello, i appreciate the comment and support 👍🏻. I find it hard to between that you haven’t mowed 😱. 6 hours of sunlight may not be enough sunlight for Bermuda. You want to try to limit as much as possible. Seed heads are normal but also could be a sign of stress. If you have any questions let me know and again thank you for the comment !!!

It’s mid summer in New England, could I use this new Stay Green without worrying about burning my lawn?
@dwaynesworldlawn
@dwaynesworldlawn 24 дня назад
I would not say it’s impossible to burn your lawn, but as long as you are following the bag rates it should be good to go. Make sure to water in right away and or plan to apply when rain is expected within 24hours. This will also help to prevent it from burning the lawn. Thanks for the support 👍🏻

Hello first time seeing the channel. Great grass! I’m a cool season guy, but I was wondering if you could tell me what type of playset you have and do you cut around it?
@dwaynesworldlawn
@dwaynesworldlawn Год назад
It was a play set from Sam’s club i got a couple year back for my son. I believe it’s made by life time. My Bermuda grass does not like it. Lol. There a a lot a shade which Bermuda hates and won’t grow. It would be perfect around cool season turf as the shade tolerance is much better. I do mow around it with no issues. I also use my rotary scissors where the mower won’t go along with a string trimmer from time to time. I appreciate the question and the support.

which rotating head are u using? Looks like it gives more water than Hunter and Rainbird.
@dwaynesworldlawn
@dwaynesworldlawn 10 месяцев назад
It is a rain bird. R-Van style. I will tell you though that a lot of now don’t have the same speed in rotation. I purchased a replacement for one of them and the new one that was the same model number but doesn’t rotate at the faster speed. I also use quite a bit of the style that are fixed position (no adjustable; 1/4, 1//, 360 degree ) and really like those, however they also appear to be discontinued. 🤦🏻‍♂️. I appreciate the comment and the support 👍🏻

What notch on your Cal Trimmer did you use on the mow? 😊

4 is what I saw. But it depends on where the bar is mounted. He has center mount it appears. 3/4 for him. I cut on 3 and gets me 1 inch exactly. I must be on a different bar location. Can't remember which right now and it's raining cats and dogs currently. 😂 I'll have to check later

3/4 inch setting. I think it’s 7/8 when using the caster wheel and 3/4 when using the roller. 👍🏻

I tried this Sta Green fertilizer also. I really did not like the prill size. It is HUGE! I am in Northern California & this my first summer with ryegrass. The prills just sat on top of the grass. I had to spend a lot of time trying to settle it & water it in. The heat this past 10 days has been outrageous also.
@dwaynesworldlawn
@dwaynesworldlawn Год назад
Yes i agree with the prill but it’s pretty standard size unless you go with like a pgf complete. I just made sure it water it in and very well to prevent it just sitting too high on the grass blades.

I’d say heat stress as well. I know we live in the same area and I’m dealing with hot spots too, this valley heat is no joke. Curious what your watering schedule is like as I’m always unsure if I’m doing it right lol. I water early in the am starting at 430. Three times a week spread out to about 1 1/2” a week during this hot weather we have. When my hot spots start to show I hand water them to try and help it out. I’m thinking I might be dealing with some compaction issues or those hot spots are hydrophobic.
@dwaynesworldlawn
@dwaynesworldlawn Год назад
I water about 3 to 4 times a week 8 to 10 min a zone. I think i need to ramp it up. We have a lot of clay so you have to careful with overwater as the soil can’t handle a lot of water at one time. I need mechanical aeration. I should have use hydrotain as it prob would have helped. I appreciate the comment and the support!! 👍🏻
@codytaylor8129
@codytaylor8129 Год назад
Ya I believe I need some mechanical aeration as well. I haven’t tried hydrotain, however I recently used a liquid soil loosener made by simple lawn solutions. It seems to have helped so far where I treated heavy for the hot spots. I also noticed it helped reduce seed heads where I treated heavy. Either way at some point I need mechanical aeration and some leveling, life’s busy though lol. I enjoy your channel and the content, keep it up!

Have you guys applied pellitized gypsum. I'm in Texas and put it down super heavy and its helped break up those hard compacted areas around my home.
@codytaylor8129
@codytaylor8129 Год назад
@@williamjonson6845 funny you mention that, along time ago one of my uncles mentioned using gypsum to help water penetrate his soil. I’ve thought about it recently and saw some at Lowe’s. I’ll probably give it a try depending on how those hot spots do.
